Let me preface this by saying I'm a newbie, and I did do a search of the forums and didnt' fine the answer to this question.

I bought some sacks from that guy in Hydlaa who sells them because it seemed like a good idea at the time.  So I wonder, "Can I put a sack in a sack?"  It worked, so I carried three empty sacks in my one sack.  No problem.

Problem happened when I put some things into one of the sacks that was inside my first sack.  Now I cannot get anything out.  I've tried taking the stuff out and putting it into my inventory, or into the first sack, but whatever I select just disappears.  When I close and reopen all the sacks it's back again.

If I try taking the sack out of the sack and put it into my inventory it disappears and I get the message that it is too heavy to equip.  Although the weight is only about 30lbs so it really should not be too heavy.

So am I outta luck?  Is there any way to get my stuff back or should I cut my losses, throw away all my sacks, and start again?

Is there some sort of guide or instructions to go along with the new version?  I got into it for a little bit but could not find the mapping.  Does anyone know how to get to it, or is it a game element - like you have to buy parchment and traing in cartography.

Also, is there a way into winch?  I saw a lot of people standing around there, but that was about it.

OK, I'm not looking for a map, I know that's not available.  Just a hint.  I've started in Hdylla, gone to the Bronze Doors, The Magic Shop, and Ojeveda (sp?).

I like to get the "lay of the land" so to speak.  Should I be looking for more places or just concentrating in the places I've found?

Also, is Akkaio and Ojeveda the same thing, or are they two different places?

Not having a map can be fun, and I understand what the devs are trying to get at - explore, have fun, discover, etc.  But I do think there would be signposts every now and then.  Every culture that ever traveled has developed some sort of signpost - rocks in a pile, blazes on a tree, etc.  Seems like it would make sense.

Also, does anyone else find it hard to follow the roads?  I follow them but seem to get lost and turned around anyway.

So does that mean that hides can be used to make things through crafting, but not be sold to NPC merchants?

Ummm....  Perhaps I should have said "Monster Body Parts".

Hides and body parts are different things. I hear Hydlaa's leatherworking trade isn't best anyway. Maybe try another settlement.

Ps. I thought this was in Hydlaa Plaza first. I was like "Ahhh! Selling body parts? Thats disgusting!"

Hi All:

Seems like an interesting game.  I'm very new and have a couple of questions.  I've looked around the forums, and not found the answers, so I apologize if these are duplicates.

1. Are there any maps?  I haven't found any maps and I'm getting lost pretty easily.  I'd hate to have to map everything myself, it would put me in mind of my old D&D days.  (Did I just date myself?  OK, I'm old.)

2. I've started by killing rats and gobbles in the sewers, on the advice on a player I ran into who also gave me a dark short sword (thanks very much, by the way, sorry if I didn't seem grateful, It was my first time on, and I couldn't figure out how to talk with you).  Anyway, I've collected a lot of ears, and eyes, and hides, and I cannot find anywhere to sell them.  Any suggestions?  I have found some vendors (Harnquist was one), but no one seems to want what I have.

3. Should I just stay in the city and sewers, or is it safe to go outside the city?

4. Can other players attack me?  Or can we only fight NPC's?

5. Is there any sort of beginners guild or mentor system I could get into?
