Well, I'm copy and pasting this straight from the properties of the device:

8.401.0.0

thx neways

*edit*

Ok, so I looked at the release notes and it turns out the 8.3 suite has an 8.471 version of the driver in it, so I'm gonna try that and see what happens.

*edit*

Alright, I downloaded and installed the updated driver, uninstalled and reinstalled the game (after a reboot) and I still get the same error message.

Well, for some reason I couldn't locate the 1200 when I went to Vista 64bit, so I don't know what happened there. (Oh, I didn't go to integrated/motherboard, I went to Radeon - so it should be integrated/motherboard then?) And I was checking the Toshiba site for specs because that's the type of laptop I have. And while I do appreciate the assist, I'm just curious how 8.3 is newer than 8.4? Does it go backwards? I realize the update was just posted this month, but I want to make sure before I mess something up by dowloading it. And what should I download, the suite or just the display driver?
Thanx

No, the Toshiba site. I'll check ATI as well though. My driver version is 8.401.0.0 and I updated drivers through device mgr and it says they are up to date already. Though I couldn't find my specific model on the ATI site (the Radeon X1200M). Actually, I did a search and there are no downloads available for that one on the ATI site.

Oh, one other thing... it didn't place an icon on my desktop when i inatalled it. I added one, but still...

Should I still try uninstalling ans reinstalling to the c drive instead of in programs or is there something else I can try? Thanx

I got the laptop for Christmas, so it's pretty new, and I just checked the site and I have alll the most recent drivers.

i have tried starting it with run as administrator with same results.
i have ATI RadeonTM X1200M 128MB-319MB dynamically allocated shared graphics memory.
any other suggestions?
thanx

I have previously tried to install the game, but couldn't get it to work. So today I completely uninstalle and reinstalled the game and followed on site directions.

I ran the updater fine (using Run as Administrator), but when I go to run the psclient it gives me this error message:

Something unexpected happened in PlaneShift: Blue Steel
Details: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION at 0388A4C0 (though the number isn't always the same)

Would you like to save the diagnostic file?

I am running Windows Vista with 1918Ram, AMD Athlon 64x2 processor.

I have searched through the forums and the technical FAQ on the main site and can't seem to figure it out. Please help!
