i think i've tried that for about a 100 times now, but i'll keep on trying.

Downloading the new client as we "speak", but i have a terrible connection at the moment (6hours on 362 mb???!!!OMG), so i'm gonna leave it for now and come back in an hour or so.
Maybe a reboot will do the trick

Thanx for you help :thumbup: anyway and if i have more information or questions i'll be back.

Ok.

Next: In the meantime i started the updater again and it started selfupdating. Now the message says:

I haven't been to Planeshift in a while and now when i try to login my client keeps saying that i don't have the latest version etc. even after running the updater several times.

In the mean time i've downloaded the repairer and moved the new exe. to the targetmap.
But still no login.

So now i started to read the message by Caarrie and read that i shouldn't instal PS i Programfiles because i run on Vista...............................................................................

I have also opened updater.xml and tried to find the liine that says <config active=false> but i can't find it (ctrl-f)
And maybe it's me, but why is this document filled with a lot of "linux" and macosx lingo?


(my computerknowledge is pretty basic, so keep it simple please)

I tried your solution Fred and it worked for a few hours, but eventually the problem reappeared and the trick doesn't work anymore. At least in my case.

What i  accidentally did find out is this: no matter how long you stay in the same position the stamina does not drop if you turn before you walk away....
I know this sounds stupid and i don't know why this happens but it does. It even works if the stamina is already dropping. Just a little turn to the left or right is enough, as long as you don't move from the spot

How long this will work i don't know, so it's fingers crossed  :sweatdrop:

Oh by the way, i ran the updater and everything works fine now. And i found the right entrance...

Thanx for the tip.

Although, strangely enough....  as i just restarted the client, i was able to enter the region. I've been trying to get in there for three days and right after posting the question it works....

So this can be closed due to problem solved i guess :whistling:

Every time i want to pass into a certain region i get the message "Loading region failed" and the client closes. I think it's the passage to Bronze Doors, but i'm not sure since i've never been there before. (hope this is not considered a spoiler) It's when keep right after leaving the forest.... And it happens with two different chars.
I'm afraid i can't give any more specifics; there is no possibility to get a bug-report, at least not that i know off. Can someone help me with this? ::|

I just downloaded the game and am eager to give to a try but the server is down apparently... Does anyone know how long this will take?
