Hi, I just downloaded the new 32bit version onto my laptop with Windows 7. I have two problems:

1. It crashes when i enable sound. I tried the answer that was given to someone else with this problem [disable weather] but it didn't work.
2. The icons on the left hand side are enlarged, narrowed, a sqewed across the screen.

I've tried that repair options but the problems still continue. Help would be greatly appreaciated.

I found out how to get the 3D card info. It is the Mobile Intel 4Series Express Chipset Family and it has 1759MB. My main driver is igdumd64.dll,igd10umd64.dll.

Additionally, I went onto the planeshift chat and someone had posted that "if you have crashes try adding ThreadManager.AlwaysRunNow =true to planeshift.cfg". However, I cannot find planeshift.cfg and I would not know how to add it.

Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver (4 Series Express Chip-Set Family) DirectX 10. However, Intel does not allow me to update at their site because they say that my laptop manufacturer, Toshiba, has specifically installed the drivers. I went to the Toshiba site and I seem to have the most updated one I think. I don’t know where to look on my computer to find my 3D card. If the driver info is not what you want could you also tell me where I can find that? Thank you.

I obtained Winch Access (the honest way) in the previous client but now it's gone! Please tell me I don't have to do all those quests over again to get the Winch Access quest. What do I do?

First of all, I use Vista and have 64 bit. I still have problems launching the client (it crashes and I can't find the "shadercache" to delete it), however when it does work as soon as I try and type something it crashes. Also, when I am in the game if I right click to get a description of something or to train/trade with an npc I can't get what is written on the screen to go away. I still have a host of other problems but I'd like to get these two solved first. This new client is very hard. Please help.   :(

Thank you. That got rid of the white boxes but I still have a long ways to go before I get the rest of the visuals right. The updater appeared when I first installed it but now I can't find the link to run the updater at all. The instructions for using the updater with Windows doesn't work because there is no link there. Is the "Repair" selection when you launch the game the same as the updater? Sorry for all the questions.

Sorry to bother you again but will Microsoft DirectX do http://download.cnet.com/Microsoft-DirectX-Redistributable-August-2009/3000-18541_4-10176490.html?tag=mncol

The only Opengl I can find is for developers.

Hi. I just installed the new client. However, all my inventory boxes are just white squares. This happened with the other client before but I can't remember the solution that someone gave me. Does anyone know the solution?

Hi. I downloaded the new client however when I run the updater it won't give me permission to get the updates because I'm not the Administrator, yet I am. What should I do?
