Updater says it needs Administrator permission?
« on: January 10, 2010, 03:11:45 am »
Hi. I downloaded the new client however when I run the updater it won't give me permission to get the updates because I'm not the Administrator, yet I am. What should I do?

-Thanks

If you are using A Mac click on the Planeshift folder and then do a  get info ( command I ) In the sharing and permissions at the bottom change it to read and write for you. Then select the cog like icon below that and choose to apply to the enclosed items.

@elizercon:  Can you be a little more specific about what problem you are having?  What are you moving or trying to read and write in?  Also, what Operating System do you use?
Also, it's more credible to others if you grow in power slowly over time.  First kill rats, then noobs, then klyros, and eventually work your way up to more powerful creatures ~ Miomai

Mac OS X users have to install the game by moving it out of the *.dmg archive, into the "Applications" folder, before using it. The updater is not able to update files inside a *.dmg archive.
