I think I'm stuck at a point where I cannot progress my character to be able to mine.  I started out with a character with very low mining skill at level 0.  I then went to Harnquist to train so I could mine but it didn't progress me a level.  The green bar is only about halfway and still I'm a level 0.  I can't any message but "you dont see a good place to dig" even in areas that I know for a fact are good digging spots.  Help please.

Edit: I also went back to Harnquist with plenty of PP and got the message that I couldn't train the skill any further.

Today I decided to start a new character and went through the character generation without any problems.  However when I finished the game loaded the town square but gave me the tutorial text.  Then when I went to buy from Harnquist the tutorial text continued as if I had clicked on the first person you encounter in the tutorial.  I'm not really sure what the intended result is here, either you start out on the tutorial everytime or characters made after the first are not subject to the tutorial.  As far as steps to reproduce this I didn't do anything besides start a game as a (edit) Hammerwielder with lots of focus in mining and earthy type customization options.

I'm wondering also, perhaps from someone who has had experience in this, what constitutes writing a bug report.  Do you post your problem here first and then get permission to write a report?

I have searched for any information on this but I cant come up with any matches.  Whenever i hold shift and move it doesn't make me run, I still walk.  Its really frustrating me and im not sure why Its not working.  I am on a Mac powerbook (ive played games where controls are funny when on a mac) and I'm not really sure if this is what is causing the problem.  If anyone has an idea of what my problem is I would appreciate an answer.  I'm sure I'm going to feel like an idiot when I realize I missed something obvious but until then I'm stuck moving in slo-mo.
