how can i find out the religion of my character? I hit the "Quick" button and started with an empty character description...

Greetings,
The quest "Saving Easamau's family home" seems to be bugged for my character. I've wasted alot of time trying to get an npc (K[...] J[...]) to accept my trade to give him what he requests (in response to "about t[...]") and had no success. So i've made a new character to get to this point in the quest (there goes another couple of hours) and it turns out the npc accepts a simple "yes" which it still does not for my other character (so i gave this character what he is supposed to get from that npc but now i cannot get D[...] W[...] to accept my trade).
I would also like to say that i find the quest system frustrating and terrible.
