just some simple suggestions

* up to date drivers on your graphics card ( and which one do you have? ) ?
* try to set it to a smaller resolution if possible
* disable Areo when launching the game.

did you try turning off DEP

Right click on My Computer
Click on Properties
Click on the Advanced tab
Click on the Settings button in the Performance section
Click on the Data Execution Prevention tab

This is for XP, for Vista or 7 open a command prompt with admin rights and type:
bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff

reboot your machine and try again

if you want to check your DEP status, open a command prompt and type
wmic OS Get DataExecutionPrevention_SupportPolicy

if you get a 0 as a reply it's turned off, 1 is on, 2 is on for services specified and 3 of off for services specified.

Nah the one game that made my gaming history complete can't be forgotten.
And there is a new build coming, maybe i might give it a try for old times sake.

But still Guild Wars is the game that got me truly addicted and will probably never leave my computer again

I come around every now and then, reading the forums that changed my gaming experience, but the last couple of times i noticed that it's empty in here...

You know that actually sounds nice, Open source can always use all the support it can get, as soon as my credit card bill has been payed i will see if i can remind myself on buying one ( or two depends on the price ) DVD's

where did i say i was a spell master, and i haven't said that all dutch german and russian players are like that, remove the word all and it's what i typed.

Now if you would read the next sentence, it would say that all those people ( the people i'm talking about ) have the same kind of issues which is in most cases a lack of proper communication, in games with a PVP or Coop ellement proper communication is a pre ( and i'm not talking about bad spellers but people not able to use the english language properly at all ).

In my experience these people where either: German, Russian or Dutch, so you could say i would be generalizing but i'm not someone that would generalize, i'd be someone that doesn't tell the entire background story because i think others will understand the background story.

If i would generalize i would probably be allready dead concidering the collegues and friends i have so stop the BS about generalizing allready

i'm dutch myself so i would be mocking myself also and i also said this wasn't meant as a discrimination spree ( somehow i knew people would always take it the wrong way by not reading everything T_T )

Drey, don't put the games next to eachother, you can't compare them no matter how you try cuz GW isn't an MMORPG but an MCORPG which makes a big difference.
and the models in guildwars look better, they have lingerie and stuff which WoW lacks.

I play both but i hate WoW for one simple reason, whenever i want to play the server is either down, has an immence queue, is having updates or idiots around you that start to annoy you.

In guildwars you have your own mission area so a LVL 20 can't run infront of your face and riun your quest all the time by killing all the monster you have to kill or by killing the one person you have to talk to all the time, IMO a friendlier play environment with lots of things to keep you occupied for a long ammount of time ( Try getting all pieces of obsidian armor )
