Thank you Sarko, it did work and I was able to log in. However, I tried to go back to Ojaveda again. I walked into the stone walled path and the load screen came up. It seemed to work fine because the load screen went away this time and I was in the stone walled area, but when I started to walk it crashed. Now it won't let me get in without crashing at the location load screen again.
If you could move me again, that would be great. However, I really want to figure out how to fix this problem, because I want to be able to go into this area to work on quests and experience the full game experience. Maybe graphic settings, I don't know. I have a mac desktop 10.6.8. I never usually have any troubles with graphics in games. I'm not a techy at all so I have trouble working out this kind of stuff.
Edit: Have been moved. Will now create a second character to work with the settings and see if I can fix the issue. That way at least I will be able to keep playing with this character. Will update if I figure out how to solve this. Any suggestions are welcome.

Just a suggestion as a spanking new player... Maybe you could create archive sections to put old outdated threads. Trying to search for things and getting threads from several years ago that are outdated and incorrect was frustrating, especially since I could not organized them by date to find more current threads easier.

I have mixed feelings about the tutorial in which I just experienced last night.
Did not like:
~There was far too much text to read, which was mostly fluff.
~There was not a way to read the text faster, like click on the speech bubbles to move to the next faster, or something like that.
~Would like to have picked an instrument, rather than everyone get a drum.
~Would liked to have had a taste of a few more skills like cooking, fishing, alchemy.
Loved:
~The story of the characters and their personalities.
~Getting a taste of some of the elements in the game like fighting, magic, and blacksmithing.
~It was easy to navigate from one place to the next and to follow quests.
~The pop ups explaining how to do certain things.
~The overall feel, story, characters, graphics, ambiance, were all wonderful.

@Sarko It is Jynxie Devona. Thank you for your offer, that would be wonderful. Should I try to go to Ojaveda again if it works and I can get on, to see if it crashes upon entering again?

Thank you for the suggestions, but neither can help me. The link is for startup crashes. Mine happens after I choose my character and it is loading my location. As for contacting a GM or filing an ingame petition, I can do neither because I cannot get into the game. Later I will try the irc, if I can figure it out.

I exited east Hydlaa and walked across the path. When it seemed I was entering Ojaveda (first time there) it gave me the loading screen and then I crashed. I try to log back in but it crashes during the same loading screen. I have tried repeatedly.

Mac OSX Specific Issues / problem with the new server...(solved)

I have read through many posts but have not found anything to fix my issues. I cannot seem to change to the new server to login. I tried the launcher and chose "repair" many many times. It comes up blank and I just press "ok" and exit out. I have tried opening the servers.xml file and manually change ip="planeshift.subhosting.net" to ip="planeshift.teamix.org". However I think I am failing during the save. My mac opens the file with OpenOffice.org Writer. No matter how I tried to save it (even choosing to replace) when I reopen it, it is not changed (still subhosting.net). I'm at a loss as to what to try now and saving the file is not in any of the threads I read.
PS This is not loading properly, the part where you try to go to where it was moved to by clicking the "here" link... http://www.hydlaaplaza.com/smf/index.php?topic=14416.0
