Newbie Help (Start Here) / Login Creation Problem

Every time I create the char, press go back then press connect doesnt matter what login or password I use, I always seem to recieve a message stating that its the incorrect login?
What am I doing wrong, I have never signed up before and I read that all you need to do as a new user is to type in the servername, login and password and it will be created?
