Unfortunately, Ojaveda has been severed from the road, and the road blocked from Hydlaa by the chasm and an invisible wall. The brave (or the foolish, which one am I?) may attempt a crossing of the chasm; it is possible, even easy, but you cannot get far. Even if you were to pass the invisible barrier, the road to Ojaveda is much more dangerous than it was. Sinkholes similar to the one we all know have opened up everywhere, creating steep cliffs. A great darkness has fallen about the land, so that it is difficult to discern where one is treading. The only good thing is that the few monsters, and the rogues, who managed to survive are plain to see, and are unlikely to sneak up upon an unwary adventurer in the dark. But alas, the road goes nowhere; the gateway through the spire is not to be found, and it is an exercise in futility attempting to find any trace of it. Alas, we will have to wait until the Powers That Be lift whatever evil magic has befallen the lands, and restore to us our pathway to Ojaveda.

Hmm. I like the first one better. It\'s less cluttered, simpler, and the incidental blue cube just... fits. Not saying that the second piece isn\'t good, but my personal preference is the first one.

I think it goes back to normal when you fight something.

I believe I can fly.

Or at least not die when I fall.

I can kill monsters, monsters can kill me, and falling takes my hits down... but falling can\'t kill me. It\'ll take my hits to 0 if I fall far enough. Another thing, I fell a few minutes after login, got my hits to 0... and within two, maybe three seconds I was at 100% again. A few minutes later I was taking fall damage, but my healing rate was back to normal.

I dream of a time when the Powers That Be outlaw fighting in the streets and the plazas, and restrict it to designated areas so that perhaps the gentler folk may not be forced to witness the many deaths that now occur in the Plaza and elsewhere. I also have hope, though it is small, that duels may even be restricted so that defeat comes when the opponent has the upper hand, not when the opponent has spilt the lifeblood of the defeated. I pray this option may become widely recognized someday.

Aye, something must be done. I agree with the middle ground: re-educating those who can be and.. dispatching... those who cannot. This is clearly a serious situation, which must be dealt with in a serious manner, lest some of our own become tainted. We must ensure we do all we can to purge this plague from our lands.

I think two names should be the default, but with a radio button to allow one name only if the player wishes. Make it so that the player has to be paying attention if he or she wants to use one name only...

I\'ve some tentative plans to share a few stories by the fire at the tavern, so perhaps I may join the gathering for a drink and a tale :)

Yep, knew that. However, there was a thread in CB Bugs about skinning, with one post in particular, that should clarify this:

I haven\'t had any problems as long as I :

- Keep the zip structure (models\\enkif) and filenames exactly the same ( eg. enkif_torso.png )

- Keep the filetype the same of course ;) this also means keep the image 24 bit etc.

- When adding the files back into the models.zip file make sure the compression is on fastest, or failing that (as it depends on the zip program) try different compressions. But what you say it sounds like you do as I do and use a program like winrar that allows you to have the zip open a drop the new files in at a compression of your liking?

Doing the above I found I could skin for this version of Planeshift. The only problem I had was with the compression so hopefully the error I recieved was the same (can\'t remember what error I had though).

I hope this helped and everything works out for you.

Regards,
Sty

I haven\'t been able to get Compressed Folders (built-in Windows zipping/unzipping utility, for those who don\'t know) to work, so I figure I\'ll just use a different program and try again.

I get the same thing. I\'m going to try rezipping with something other than Compressed Folders, as I\'ve heard rumors of incompatibility...

This might work if it was a concave curved surface that the unstoppable force hit at just the right angle. Any other way and it would have to bounce off at an angle, and unless there\'s something I\'m missing in how something bounces off something else at an angle, it would have to come to a complete stop in order to change direction. (Feel free to correct me in the event I\'m wrong about this point.)

Oh, and to those of you who are complaining about the plausibility of this, we know it\'s well nigh impossible. It\'s just a thought exercise. And the magick discussion can go elsewhere :D

If, hypothetically, one force is \"unstoppable\" and the other \"unmovable\", then in the event of a collision both would be tested to see if both qualities are true. If one is weaker than the other in their un* ability, eventually the one with the stronger ability will win out and the weaker one will be overcome (the unstoppable object will stop or the unmovable object will shift). If they are equal, both would stop doing their thing: the unstoppable force would cease to move, and the unmovable object would become movable.
