They\'re doing it so they\'ll get massive hits to their site by forcing poeple to constantly check if it\'s released.

I know that if I knew it was coming out in 2 months time I wouldn\'t log for 2 months.

Ooooor....

maybe it\'s not a sneaky publicity stunt and they just don\'t want to get peoples hopes up by giving them a date,  since they don\'t really have one.

It doesn\'t really go in order anyways, since many molecules are bigger then many crystals.  Think of proteins or even better DNA.   But then crystals can get even way bigger then that.

Hmmm maybe Macro-molecular Blue?

Either a druid or a mage.  I\'ll probably intend to be a druid, but eventually just end up picking up all powerfull magically abilities I can.

I think that only very damage deprived classes should get a summonable familair.   Other characters should have the options of buying pets that die permenantly.   So you don\'t get warriors who just constantly resummon a familiar so they don\'t have to take any damage while dealing out tonnes.

^ I agree.   People should only automatically know your weapons name if it is indead legendary.

Hmm I think the best way to do this is when the blacksmith makes a weapon he selects the general type (daggers/shortsword/axe etc.)   each one needs a certain amount of ore/igots/material to make.  5 for dagger 20 longsword etc.  Then when he\'s creating it he chooses the materials to use  3 iron 2 ebony or something.   He may also have the option to add 3 bonus materials to give it special properties (elementat damage reduced weight etc.  )And depeneding on the blackswiths skill the materials/proportions and someluck the item will be generated accordingly.  And to make the various weapons look different you could just mask a colour on them to give them different hues.   This shouldn\'t really add to lag as all the models stay the same, and only a few very minor values need to be modified.

I hope that made some sense

I guess this is sorta simular to diablo, but even more customisable, and gives much less of a cookie cutter/ building block feeling.

I\'d really appreciate any comments

Realy I\'d be happy with a strip them of 5% of their xp type deal without leveling them down.  THis would prevent people from not caring about dying and it would also, not depress them like loosing stats and levels does.

....  Oh geeeeezeee I just made an idot of myself.   Lol I\'ve been raving so much about how this game rules because there are no levels.

Just ignor this.   I think i\'m going to take a nap.

Okay here\'s my take on the situation.

-  First of all THERE MUST BE A PENALTY, otherwise dying becomes meaningless and powergamers get all the fun.

To acomplish this penalty I can think of two ways to do it.

1  When you die you become a ghost semi-transparent to yourself but complete invisible to everyone else. (no actions but moving, and no walking through walls, maybe speed increased to x4, and letting the player fly)  Then you should have to seek out a temple to be revived.  You goto the temple and pray then your given a list of options.   The different options can have different prices like revival wich will return your soul to your body with 5% hp, or revival in temple wich will bring your body to you and revive you in the temple, etc...    This would be pretty nice for rp value since it would be like almost a pack with the gods to live again.   Maybe even your ghost could seek out a high level priest an be able to comunicate with and ask for a revival or make a deal or something.

2  Or you should just respawn at the temple automatically with an xp penalty, but without the chance of going down in levels (very anoying)  This way people will not freek out about loosing levels, but they also wont be fearless to fight anything they want on the odd chance they\'ll luck out and get mega xp.

I think that no matter what it should be a given that you can stay in your corpse dead and wait till someone decides to respawn you.  If you don\'t want to wait then you go with whatever other respawn option is chosen.

I\'d like to not that I\'m strongly agaist the \"purgatory\" type ideas where you get sent to an alternative relm and have to complete a task.   THIS IS THE MOST BORING THING IMAGENABLE.    All it does is force a player to do something THAT THEY DON\'T WANT.   I usually imediatley stop playing a game as soon as I run into this.  It is really not fun at all in the slightest bit.   Sure maybe if you make it only last 2 minutes at the max it\'s tolerable, but anything else is not fun.

But yeah to conclude I feel the most important thing is to have some sort of penalty whatever it maybe, as long as it doesn\'t take the fun out of the game.

Okay people hear me out.   But your idea of giving a sword a name seeems very silly.   Like what is a name anyways?  It\'s something you name it.   Like you don\'t just look at a weapon and all of a sudden know that\'s it\'s name!!   I think this should be left to Roleplaying.  (don\'t make a comparision with this and character names since we wouldn\'t need bubles floating over character heads if they were cutomisable enough)

A much better idea would be to have an engrave option.   You go to a jewler or highly trained black smith and have a name engraved on your sword or shield or whatever.  That would definaley add much more roleplay value then running into someone and seeing Conana hits zombie with Dargog the mighty sword.   Like maybe jus say that he hits it and then if you look at the sword you\'ll see a discription with maybe an engraving.   Just an idea.

It would also be nice to be able to choose to omit your name from a weapon you craft.  I do some crafting of various things in real life and alot of time it is much better to not write your name on it.  Gives the item a more \"pure\" look and gives the recieptient more of a feeling that it truley belongs to them if your names not on it.

Yeah have you played Jedi Acedemy?  It\'s an awesome game.  The Lighsaber battles are unbeatable.  The only complaints I have are that they really let their level design slip since the first game.  However not to say the level design is bad, they just did an amazing job in the first game.   The last boss is also an absolute joke, she\'s not harder then any other the other jedi\'s.    But given that it\'s an amazing game,  I also hear that Knight of the old repulbic is a massive hit.

Sure SWG may suck, but they do still produce good title.   (though the fact that an average of 3 starwars games comes out each year does seem like licence abuse, but how can you complain if the games are good.)
