I had to quote this just to see what this guy was saying, so I guess I'll respond anyways.

How do you think having a "myspace" ingame is realistic?  That doesn't makes sense...

who doesn't use one of myspace,hi5, friendster or facebook these days? i think today its the closest online thing to using the telephone is today...and i say this from simply the amount of people who use these services today

why not create more realism to the game by making myspace profiles for characters... experimenting with it check out mine... www.myspace.com/selairo ...except making it in game being able to leave comments and send pms and stuff

sorry if this has been mentioned before but i couldn\'t find it in the search....

i think having an apprenticeship program would be great to give newbies a jump start where you can be taken under a master of a certain skill and work for him, say mining, where you don\'t get to keep the goodies but you skill goes up to a certain extent say up to 5 points then you\'re on your own in the world. same could be done for skills such as magic, where you can take up apprenticeship with a fire sage, while learning magic for free, you\'d have to cook and clean the house for a week or something so that you don\'t have to go out killing rats all day. But it should be free only for the first few levels, and then you\'d have to pay for it...you could also make it so you\'d have to go through a certain quest before you are accepted as an apprentice....

i think one way of preventing  that is my making it so that when you develop skills in one area you develop certain advantages/disadvantages so that its easier to learn related skills and harder to learn skills that are far different. i don\'t know the technicalities right now but say using fire magic you need will stat, but the more fire magic you train in, the lower your charisma just by a little so that its harder to become good at dark magic(altho not impossible, just more difficult) which requires more charisma... i think in that way you could have the game keep a sense of balance of power. - i don\'t mean this literally but just trying to give the idea of what i\'m saying.

kinda like final fantasy^-^ but one thing i\'d like to suggest is approaching the enemy..like jumping toward the enemy or dashing toward the enemy as part of the attack instead of having to walk up to 2 inches close to the enemy and also have the option to customize upto 3  preanimated attacks before the battle or somethin.

yeah i know its just a tech demo...but just to add to that i think it would be cool if say a mage could cast his spell on an ally\'s weapon to make that spell weapon thingy that you just mentioned that way team play can be more strategic

i agree...thats gonna be sweet!! but just to add to that i think it would be cool if you had linked slots that would create an entirely new move upper-cut+slash would create a move where the char. upper cuts the enemy in the air then slashes him down or something like that.. you could even combine magic and a move so he does a firery-slash or something like that :p

I think it would be awsome if you could fight like fighting in a fighting game...the way i thought of it was using f1, f2, f3.... to switch into different views first person view would work well for long ranged weapons and for melee/short range fighting having a bunch of moves that you could learn from npcs(like learning skills) then program the numbers to a certain move i.e. press1 and when you click with your mouse it does a certain combo of moves then 2,3,4...and so forth for different moves; to complement on that just double click on the creature to declare the battle. Instead of just clicking on the monster and clicking on attack button and waiting for the battle to end i think a system similar to this would be a lot more fun. and another view would be point click on the monster but insead being able to use your mouse to conduct the direction that you\'re attacking(kinda like zelda where the direction that you\'re attacking isn\'t automated).  and then be able to jump attack and stuff like that.

yea..thats actually a pretty good idea because you could have player-driven quests that makes the world all the more unpredictable and also i thought if you could have a certain level of criminal level e.g. innocent

i think it would be kool if merchants were able to rent items for a certian period of time and then it automatically goes back to the merchant(or something around those lines) i think this would work well because then beginners won\'t have to spend hours killing rats bare handed to buy a pick... also there should be banks where you can loan money
