Ok maybe this will help? It is my own drawing of an eye in pencil. Maybe it could act as a refence?
Demarthl don\'t give up on drawing, it takes lots of hard for me to get this far too.

As you can see my female character\'s eye is a bit rounder than the male\'s eye. My male character\'s eye looks a bit more fierce.
Well this is just my way of differentateting their eyes.

No fair!  I wanna tablet!    :(

Ok, even though I\'m not the best of the artist hangin\' \'round PS, I\'ll drop some more useless advice.
Try not to think of noses as pyramid-type shapes.  They\'re quite round, I assure you.  3 \'balls\'.  Center & two nostrils, which fuse together quite a bit.
Like Moogs said, eyes curve outward and the lids slide over them.
Drawing realism will make you better at drawing anime.  Again, of this I can assure you.

You\'re getting better.  :)

Heheh, when I saw the thread title, the first thing I thought of was pie. Because... y\'know... \"piirakka\" is \"pie\" in Finnish, and... um. Well, it kind of makes sense from there. Surely.

I rather like the second image from this thread, think it\'s nicely done. Anatomy is always a tough cookie, but one can master it. Yep! In time and with practice. You\'re doing good though, always nice to see people\'s progress.

Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

Well 1st start drawing in pencil not pen. Pen is really not that good to draw with when your not that good at drawing.

Hi

Looking good Demarthl! I like \'em! The second picture reminds me of Moogies latest picture at \'More faces behind players\'-thread. ;)

To Karyuu: I made the same mistake when I first saw this thread. Being such a well educated ma\'am, you may also be aware that your nick \"Karyuu\" resembles the finnish word \"karjuu\", which means \"roars\". I wonder what events have led to the fact that someone from the opposite side of the world knows finnish? Ah, I\'m forgetting my manners, as it is none of my business. Bye! :)

Back to Demarthl:
I think your tablet drawings look good too. Here\'s what I would add: (I hope it\'s ok to use your drawing as a source)

 - Steps -

1.
 A) Lightened lower eyelid (usually lower eyelashes don\'t need to be drawn, they\'re so light).
 B) Rotated the upper eyelashes to reach more to the sides and less to up.
 C) Added a side bump & nostril (women do breathe) to the nose and turned the nose to point more downwards.
 D) Added left cheek

2.
 A) Lifted eyebrows a little and trimmed them (women tend to pick out unwanted parts of their eyebrows, especially from the middle. Usually the darker the eyebrows, the manlier the look.).
 B) Added left forehead.
 C) Added gleam to the pupil (an eye is wet). And lifted the right eye few pixels up.
 D) Made the lower nose a bit thicker.

3.
 A) Added lower face to see how it would fit. (a female chin is usually pretty smooth and not very broad)

Hmm, that\'s how I see it. Just my opinions though. :)

Demarthl, please show us more! I like a bit of anime now and then ^_^. I think that they are really good, and you have quite a lot of artistic talent, but drawing in an anime style will hinder you from drawing realistically. I have far from got the hang of drawing realistically, and I used to draw in an anime sorta style before. A tip someone gave me that really helped was to add more curves. Anime uses a lot of straight, bold lines, whereas if you look at a human face it tends to be a lot... curvier, for want of a better word. Oh yes, Frada also sent me to http://www.portrait-artist.org which led me to draw more like this:

than previously:

it really helped with my drawings, specifically eyes. Which, coincidentally, are smaller than people think. (I don\'t think I\'ll ever get those proportions right... :()

Keep up the good work!
