Indirect rendering may indicate a flawed OpenGL setup if you run on a local X server.

i am using suse 9.3 and i have installed the drivers from the suse ftp server to get my \"radeon 9500 pro\" working.
in glx gears i get 2500 fps. what ive made wrong? does anybody in this forum have an advice for me?

Type:
glxinfo | grep direct
And paste the output.

ok, ive found the bug. and this should be important for the programmers of this game. the libgl.so... binaries are not in the same dir. when i install the original driver package from ati.de instead of them from the suse ftp server. (/usr/lib/fglrx/lib/libGL.so.1-->suse; /usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so.1.2-->ati)
and so on...
maybe one can compare these rpms, because some other distros use the same pathes (ccux). AND the open source game glest has the same problem. crystal space should get updated!

kindly regards... dgrat

Well, so what shows you the command I gave you above? I had various direct
rendering issues on Suse 9.3 as well.

it shows me now that it is ok/or activated
i simply had to install the ati package after i installed the one from suse 9.3. and now the games takes the libs from the ati rpm. and common suse apps, the libs from the suse package.
