Patience.
First thing I would try is to replace the dll file.
PM someone your email address and ask them to send you the file.  You can PM me if you want.

The updater is smarter than people give it credit for...  :D  Delete that file, and run the updater.  It will automatically re-get it.  Re-installs are only warranted when your updater, itself, is dead.

If this doesn\'t fix it, something else is messed up.  Post your system info and any other information you can think of.

While usually the updater is a good thing, it ATM isn\'t, due to the severe performance issues that plague the server. So that is nopt an option right now.
Also, this dll problem has appeared for a few people over the time, but not a lot. Unfortunately, there is no fix for it that I know of. They tried replacing that file with one from dllheaven or what it\'s called, but I doubt that the file is actually damaged. In fact, I suspect another problem that simply makes PS not find that file. A corrupt install might be the reason. However, for that to ocur, the installer itself would likely have to be corrupted. To see if it is, you need to run the md5 summing tool on the installer file. Then you need to check that the sum that generated is exactly the same as fc36e88c174f44f7540f130782afcfbb.

If the md5 sums match, and a reinstall does not fix it, then the problem is something different, which I have no real ideas for. Reinstalling Windows might help, but then again that\'s not a terribly good option.

Seytra:
Where\'d you get that hash from?...  The repository has 9ccbfa69ac67aed98e1c8a11ffa2a630.  I also have one in my CS CVS with dd072705435259d5abb5d7e0c348eb35.

Click here to download the normal one.

Click here to download the one from my CS build.

Try using the top one first, then the second if that doesn\'t work.  If both fail... we\'ll need to keep looking...

That\'s not for the .dll, it\'s for the PS installer. :P
After all, if the PS installer itself isn\'t damaged, then the dll will be installed properly by it. All in all I, as I have stated, don\'t think that replacing the .dll will do any good, because the previous people whth this problem replaced it to no avail.

I think it\'s not the dll\'s fault, but the fault of something else, maybe the VFS, that makes PS not find the dll.

Yeah, I know it\'s a longshot... but it\'s worth trying... and I have no other ideas.  :P
