Because no Dev has stepped in to indicate what the purpose behind the discrepencies between the different gains of exp and there for PP. So I took it upon myself, and the only conclusion was that gaining an equal amount of PP through other means would out balance the system in which there would be an over bounty of PP.
So I proposed splitting the PP revenue between the catagories, so practicing mining would gain you PP just for mining or in a more genral means gaining PP for the job catagory. From this, only players entertained their displeasure with the whole of the exp/PP system but not one GM or Dev stepped in to shine some light in the argument.
I then asked, like this post is asking, for the elimination of the exp/PP system, not in a permanet way, but one that could bring back the system if it did not work out. Simply turning off the requirtement by trainers to using PP in training sessions. Easily done on the test server. Leave exp/PP alone in the other regards, make it like the dual points in that they have no purpose than to show self status. That way if the elmination doesn't prove the solution, it is not a major change to turn it back on. But that post was locked and subsiquently deleted. So, till a dev acknowleges what they are intending to do, these discussions are moot and bound to be ingored or locked.
But what the heck... I ask you Dev/GM, what would be the repocussions of turning off the PP system as proposed here?
