Insisting crash
« on: July 07, 2009, 05:31:45 pm »
Hi,i am experiencing crashes which i couldn't handle myself so i thought to ask for your help. After making a new character and going around in the town with no problems i tried to exit it.This is when the game crashed.Furthermore when i tried to enter the game with any of my chars the game crashes while loading the area(character screen has no problems at all).I deleted the troublesome character and tried 2 full cleans+reinstalls but without solving the issue.I have a crash dump and the error log  case it helps:

moved it to the right sub forum for yeah.

when you did a reinstall, was this right after the crash?  or rather, was the reinstall done without rebooting first?  if not, something may be stuck in RAM that keeps making it error out.  If you were able to make a char and get around in the tutorial map without issue, then it means it worked at one point.

when you made a new character, is the map it's trying to load the tutorial map, or straight into one of the main world maps?

what type of video card are you using?

I turned off vertex buffer objects and the game loaded normally. This is weird since my graphic card supports them but at least i am back in.  :D
Thank you for your answer. :)

I was about to suggest that :). Most crashes starting with a 6 seem to be ati driver related.
