hehe I\'ll agree that too many people confuse a game running slowly with [network] lag. Sure, network lag could be one of the problems, but framerate, hardware speed/processing power, and other factors need to be included. Then again, people like to redefine words all the time. Just look at how the term \"modem\" has been bastardized to include DSL Gateways into it (for those who don\'t know, modem = MOdulate/DEModulate - the method used to convert a digital (computer) signal into an analog (telephone) signal and back - which isn\'t used in ISDN or DSL systems, as the signal remains digital throughout the process). Sorry, got off-track.
If your computer has a low framerate (even when not using the slow, software renderer) then you may be experiencing the same problems that others (like myself) are experiencing. post your relavent information into the thread named \"Client is running slow ? Please contribute to this survey\" to possibly help the developers be able to track down the cause of this - seems to affect a pretty wide range of systems, unfortunately.
