In that case you should consider getting a different card.

What do we do if our card is larger than 128MB?

Great!! I have 128mb!

But I hope you\'re not expecting evryone to do this at the final realese, the games should change these values by itself.
Put the pot down, no dont take another puff!, put it down. Thank you.

Jorrit,

I assume these changes only take effect when you restart planeshift correct?

The only thing I see in \'settings\' myself is resolution, colourdepth and the Advanced button. :P

Not that I don\'t know how to see details for my own card, just pointing out that this is all you see if you use Windows 98.

Question on the math.

128MB card settings:
128 x 128 x 4 bytes x 15 = 983,040 bytes
64 x 64 x 4 bytes x 185 = 3,031,040 bytes
32 x 32 x 4 bytes x 60 =  245,760 bytes
16 x 16 x 4 bytes x 0 =  0 bytes

Total memory usage = 4,259,840 bytes or about 4MB

This is no where near the \"half\" of video memory you recommend using.  So, is there a flaw in my math somewhere?
Does anyone know?

Um.... experiment?
Whats up with all the questions? Im tempted to say something mean but I wont. I think the original post is quite explicit.

Awesome tip by the way. I would post elsewhere so the developers know, this would be something good to have auto-detected in the next release.

OK let\'s just straighten something out... Anyone who has successfully tweaked a 64meg card using this can they post the numbers up? Jorrit, You said you were going to tell us how to tweak 64 megs and you didn\'t. That was mean.
