To that respect fanomatic, I\'ll play the tune. I don\'t want to hear 1000 NPC\'s say the same 6 lines over and over again. Do NOT get me wrong, if those 1000 NPC\'s are scattered quite well throughout the world, where it isn\'t a \'constant\' annoyance (reference to morrowind) then yeah, it would be ok to have those same 1000 NPC\'s all say similiar (hopefully not the exact SAME thing)
However, I also understand and realize the kind of creativity it would take to well create that many varied responses / situations / text inputs.
To the end result though, neither of you, despite your concidered comments, have answered the question.
What will be implemented to make this a Role playing game, and not a hack and slash. I understand, as well it seems, that true role playing in the sense of table top, where you and your buddies are laughing out loud at the DM\'s horrid pronunciation of the word \'about\' is something you can never get on a computer. But you can get a lot of the same, albeit generic, feel of a RPG.
Admittedly I have no idea\'s at present what could be thought of to add to PS that\'ll make that feel more vivid. Hopefully, someone can think of something and post it here. Who knows? Maybe that one idea makes Planeshift so incredible once implemented, that it top\'s charts for years to come.
