As far as I know it should still be going, I\'m not sure though.

yea we\'re alive ...we\'re just having a summer break :] ...most of us are students and well... ...exams :(

but don\'t worry, we\'re still here and still interested - you won\'t get rid of our project that easily :D

And heh Hook, I think the only time I ever talked to you was to ask you if you were somebody I knew.  But still nice to see that treecastle is alive...kinda

Yeah, currently at the lowest part of the work sinusoid. Some great work has been done that isn\'t digitalized yet though. Looks at the other 2.  :D
(my comp experienced a core meltdown, that\'s why nothing on my part. Should be restored by the end of the week hopefully)

The treecastle project may be somewhat related to PlaneShift, but it is not PS. I\'m putting this into the Plaza, where you can talk about it as much as you want. :)

Help revive the TreeCastle - MySQL migration problem!

Erm, yea ...as Nairan mentioned - the biggest problem (which is quite a blocker!) right now is that in 2004 SourceForge (where we're hosted) moved from MySQL 3.23 to 4.1 and all of us TreeCastle members are too un-savvy in the database field to succeed in the migration. We've got the sql dump and all, but whatever we do we just can't seem to import it. Without the database we can't do a thing! As simply as that :(

Anyone with MySQL experience willing to help??

It's just databases for PhpBB and ErfurtWiki ...maybe it's a bit more exotic that we used a mod for phpbb with which we were able to attach files (mainly pictures) directly into the database - which means there's also some binary parts in it.
