To Download source code
« on: August 29, 2004, 10:00:44 pm »
How do i go about downloading the curent source code for CB?

Yes, i know that its not fully finished and has many bugs, but still how do i do it?

I want to test my 5ki11z and try to get it to run... even if it runs bugy.

I have used the search button and did not find any help.

I know how to access the CVS but i do not know how to download the source code...

Please Help.

You know how to access the CVS but not downloading the source?

You know how to do A but you still don\'t know how to do A?

Use an CVS client and download it?

If you\'re on linux: http://icarus.uic.edu/~ssenne1/planeshiftcvs.html

If you look on the \"CVS\" section on the page http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/planeshift it gives the settings for the CVS server - we can\'t walk you through unless you know what compiler you\'re using etc.

Unless you\'re very into black-and-white checkered boxy robots clunking around on a flat green area with some trees and a single building, you might not be particularly impressed :)

I think what he must have ment by \"I know how to access the CVS\" is this:
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/planeshift/planeshift/docs/history.txt?view=auto

anyway I have been wondering how to get my hands on CB source for a while too.... :D I\'ll check it out...

I really wish I knew what you all are talking about.  :O I suppose it takes alot of knowledge to \'compile CB.\' Knowledge I don\'t have. I don\'t have a compiler either. Well... I\'ll just have to wait like the rest.

Step 1: Click on the mingw link if you don\'t have MSVC.
Step 2: Follow the instructions
Step 3: Go to #planeshift on irc.freenode.net and ask for help when something goes wrong (It will ;))
