does the game work on windows xp

i tried it and i can only get to the opening screen, it plays the sound and then freezes

im not to worried about cause i have win98 also but i prefer XP alot more

Comment out the sound.loader.mp3 (or whatever it is) option in your psclient.cfg

hmm It works for other people (including myself) on XP...

If you want to disable the sound comment this line out:
          Systems.PlugIns.iSoundRenderer = ...some stuff...
change it to
          ; System.PlugIns.iSoundRenderer = ...some stuff...

tell us if planeshift works then!

well, yes and no, i have xp and it gets up to the \"ready to upload\" prompt, and the upload button dosent respond,
im still not sure what to do and i really wanna play this game

that happened to me too im on windows 98 though.

even when it finally went .(after a million tries) it still didn\'t light up liek the other buttons... but o well

i sugest u keep trying adn make sure u put teh right server thingy in...

hey i tried commenting out the sound stuff but then when i try to start the game it goes to a black screen and then closes and goes back to the desktop

also i noticed that it dosent even play the sound when i restored the config file now

it might be my sound card i have sound blaster PCI 16 and im the support site for it said that the native win xp drivers should work but they provided some other ones ill try

if this doesnt work im going to assume its not the sound
