That\'s not correct Watcher, sparring refers to practise fighting... You can spar with your fists, it does however, refer just to melee, not ranged or magic.

What is wrong with full on PVP you can die matches?
Some people would like to go and take the fight all the way and why shouldn\'t they. All you need are a few NPC\'s to quickly revive you with healing glyphs to continue the competition

Um no one said that there is anything wrong, we just think it would be good to have both types of arenas :P

Correct me if I\'m wrong on this, but:
Sparring is a word which means practice fighting correct?
If that\'s the case, there is no way it could have originally applied to either archery or magic, since a) magic doesn\'t exist and b) well, in archery, especially against another person (not just an animal) it would be extremely hard to actually run for cover and do the whole \"Matrix battle scene\".... (rant)

Anyway, my point is, there\'s no real reason that i can see that would exclude magic at the very least, and i guess archery if it\'s done right (well, if you can use a really heavy two handed sword,  and actually run with it while wearing plate armour, why not be allowed to use a bow [rant]) should be included as well. Make sense?

If we are going to be technical.
Sparring only refers to CLOSE COMBAT (Melee)
Bows can not be included as that is shooting, not hitting someone while they block (Sparring).
Archery is shooting, Magic is spellcasting, Melee is sparring.
Replace \'SPARRING ARENA\' with \'PRACTISE ARENA\' and it will be appropriate as it can include the three..

That\'s right, PS will be skills-based. Also, I\'m not quite sure how monsters got into the discussion...
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

Reyun: There will be no monsters in the arena, just PVP.

The way I think about it is the worse the punishment for death, the better the fight.  I also agree that there should be a separate \"sparring\" (or whatever you want to call it) arena or at least some other place to practice fighting before battling your worst foe in the main arena.

And remember: \"The Death God, being evil and greedy, asks a magical item to bring him back to the world of the living. If he refuses or has nothing to give, he is thrown to the Death Realm.\" This will not be in CB, of course, but in the future it will prevent frequent trips to the Death Realm.

Fine ill go with two seperate arenas. It sounds good to me but the non-death one may become overcrouded
