One year ago today, \'The Cabal\' a guild for Jerks, was formed. Over a very short period of time, that thread filled with over 100 posts, a record on the guild forum. Not much later, a second thread appeared, once more breaking the record with 150 posts. And once again, in the same month a third thread was made, filling with over 100 posts. We hold the record with having 250 posts in 1 thread.
In the guilds forum alone, there are:
A total of 17 Cabal based threads,
Containing a total of 2022 posts.
Alot of time has passed since that first post. We have changed from being a joke guild for jerks to the biggest, and best evil guild in the game(to be debated). Members have left us, and some have recently returned, including those who had \'gone for good\'. We were told we wouldn\'t survive the week, then we were told we wouldn\'t survive the month, but we have done more than that. We have survived the year, and flourished as a result.
With this year passing, we have reached a stage of development where we\'re starting to concentrate highly on the rp aspects of the game. We\'re all set to go into our fourth and final planned stage. All our people are planted, we\'re well known, our guild council now has four seats filled once more, and I think we\'ve done more than our share of advertising. We knew the time was ready when The Cabal recently made a guild vote to hereby discontinue our public campaign on these forums. Alot of changes have been made recently, most of them internal, but there have been some noticable changes, if you look at our site, externally in the last few days. The ranks page had been updated, and the first part of the guilds new history is in place.
With this final thread I wish good luck to all the other guilds out there, and I look forward to meeting some of you on the battlefield relativly soon. To everyone who still seems to act as if we\'re a one day old guild with no structure and no background, then let me see you do what we have done, and I might start to listen.
