Revival / Phoenix's Down:

I think there should be Items & spells that another person can cast on your body to pull you out of the DR such as \"Revive\" & \"Phoenix Down\". since it has to be another person who does this it can\'t be abused to much. it can encourage playing with other ppl too. maybe the you can Anger the Death God so your fine will be greater next time. Also maybe the ability to take someone\'s place in the DR, something like a self-sacrifice to revive a loved one, that one is great for RP!

obviously we are not going to call these items \"Phoenix Down\" maybe they could be a feather of a rare Yliakum bird or animal tusk?

Heh, interesting. I was wondering if they were going to have some sort of ressurecting spell. I think its a good idea.

Yeah I was wondering about that to. I mean when you die you\'re asked to give an item to the Death God right away. Where does that leave room for resurrection spells? So yah good point to bring up Zeraph.

Resurrecting spells would be good, but somthing like a pheonix feather or pinion, or ash of pheonix, or an item that can raise someone would be very awesome :D

Actually I think it\'s been around since Final Fantasy 1 but I am not sure.

Actually it is in Golden Sun 1 & 2 also, which is I think one of the best GameBoy Advanced RPG Graphically...
The story isn\'t bad ether... :D

Ya. I forgot about Golden Sun for a second there. I got addicted to the 2nd Golden Sun which i played for hours on end.

As far as I remember it, Phoenix down has been present in every FF game.

I\'m not argui-ing about the usefulness of such an item or even better - potion.
But I\'m rather trying to point out two things:
- We probably can\'t use the name Phoenix Down (even if we could I\'m sure the devs wouldn\'t let such unoriginality slip into PS)
- The item (whatever it will be) must be consumable ...and well, I just don\'t see how you use a phoenix down to wake someone up ...I mean, the only logical and cool way of using a phoenix down would be in my opinoin to burn it before the corpse\'s nose (phoenix+fire=life)


Ok, back to being constructive:
I think we could have something more constructive ...maybe some other element ...let\'s say water ...hmmm, how about \"Mermaid scales\" - you put them into water, they disolve, and pour the drink into the corpse\'s body ...or sprinkle the water over the deadly wound.

If there\'s no mermen and mermaids ...how about \"Tears of Laanx\"?

i think it should be like this. when u die there is about 10 sec before your spirit passes into the DR this is the only time you can revive some1 with spells or items or whatever. after 10 sec there is no way to revive them and he/she is now in the DR.

oh, I was hoping that you could actually pull someone out of the DR, like a doorway opens or a beam of light encompasses you & you wake up @ in your body...

lol, it would be fun to revive someone & then they get mad @ you for taking them out of the DR, then they go run off to die...  :D but that\'s probably when there is more to do in the DR like shops & towns etc...

Smokk Duranus is right, it shouldn\'t be that easy to escape Death Realm. 10 seconds limit sounds reasonable though.
And not everyone should be able to do it - only a person with a proper skill.

Well why not create a ten-twenty second portal between the DR and life (ony for non dead experienced mages) near the dead person
