It so happens that the people who joined recently don\'t know the devs very well, and vice versa. Plenty of the old people however hang out with the devs every day. Besides, just because many don\'t feel like spending 6+ hours per day in MB, doesn\'t mean they\'re not around and it doesn\'t mean they\'re not dedicated and loyal to PS.

Hang on.. so is this alpha testing for the beta release? In which case you would perform alpha testing then beta testing for the beta release?
OR is it alpha testing for the final game, in which you would perform alpha testing, beta testing then have the actual *full release*

It\'s the closed testing before the Alpha version is released. Then eventually there will be a closed test before the Beta version is released, as well as there will be more closed tests before other major releases.

I really feel your pain recently monketh, I spend hours ingame everyday lookin after things and people just seem to look straight through me when talking about things.  ;(  We should start a support group.

Great news, what everyone was talking about in chat last night makes more sense now =) I look forward to the release, Great news! =)

why not throw a party for thoese who dont get in ?

its a win-win thing

15 lucky (insert word here) will get to spend a few days months , years ( lets hope not ) running around in a 15 men/women world. And the rest of us party

sounds preety good to me :D

Great......let\'s hope the testing will be a succesfull (and not time consuming ;) ) happening.

Sure, I would say that each and every guild member (of any guild btw) is already a real loyal person but... sure devs don\'t know everybody.
They simply can\'t take someone they don\'t see often ingame (me for instance)
On the other hand I\'m tempted to say \"hey I study computer science in 3rd year, I\'m admin on a french website\" blablabla but what\'s the need of it? I haven\'t played MB since something like november 2003.

Lots of people are in the same situation. I\'ll wait. Like 99 % of the people ;)

Note : If you need someone pretty reliable for the alpha, don\'t forget Sabrewulf, he was there long ago before most people

Nice work everyone. You testers don\'t even think of telling us anything. I don\'t want to know anything when I first enter CB.

P.S. I proposed once, each guild to pick a dev for it\'s god. Imagine the fun :)

I\'m just excited about the news of progress.
And yes please don\'t say anything about the test. I would hate to have info leaked that everyone got excited about but it ends up being bugged somehow and has to be completly changed for the public release. Plus I would just like to wait and be suprised when it comes out anyway.

Well great work everyone keep it up and good luck to whoever gets in the test :D

Just let everyone play it..we have been waiting for a whole year almost for this to come out....you delayed itlike crazy. Should we be hyped about something most of us probably won\'t get to test? I am not.

We choose to do the beta test program for our own protection :-) It is better if 15 fans first weed out and find the most obvious bugs (but bugs that we devs still missed) before unleashing it on the PS masses and getting thousands of identical bug reports.
