one person all around.. Kada.. being the most loyal doesnt mean the highest post count, (meaning you spam alot) or spending the most time ingame looking for crystals, or being idle on irc. its staying with the game and giving it time when its let you down once or twice.

Okay so I don?t exactly agree with the way this has been done ? I agree with WW (no, not about who is most loyal :P), about there being so much more to loyalty than what you see in a snapshot of forum activity or who happens to be the person that is most often in game at this moment in time - that all changes and you must look at the big picture. The active player of today is tomorrow?s missing person.
There is so much more than forum and game, there other considerations such as how people have developed their characters here, the input they have given to the project, their dedication to the community outside the remit of the forum and the game e.g. creation of successful guilds, organisations and religions. All these things take a great deal of time, effort and loyalty.

All that said if I were to choose one person it would probably be Moogie ? she has been through good times here and she has been through the very worst of times here, yet her loyalty and commitment have never faltered despite adversity.
There are many others who would follow though and make it to my short list e.g. Hevrah, Aendar, Kwartz, Xordan, Nilaya, Cad, Gronomist, Kiern, etc.

Btw, thanks so much to the people who gave me a mention!

In-game: Agara
Forum: Moogie

Too bad we can\'t vote for ourselves, I mean, just because I don\'t do a lot of pointless posting, doesn\'t mean that I\'m a very dedicated person to this game. Shame that the DEVs won\'t be able to reward loyalty unless they see it. Oh well, no one said life\'s fair.

Edit: Oops, sorry, I wrote that and then went back and read the other posts, and realize that I was pointlessly restating what\'s already been said, sorry.

Oh well, everyone else casts their vote so I guess I can just as well do it too. Although, many of you say you\'re unsure who to vote for and the like, but if it comes to loyal players, my vote definitely goes to Kada. She\'s the only person who I\'m (still) unsure whether or not has been around longer than myself, and that\'s definitely quite an achievement, and you really deserve some credit for  that. However... Talad really deserves the most credit of all. He\'s been with PS for over 10 years, and it\'s his fault this game even exists, and some of you dare say he\'s not the most loyal fan here, then... then I\'ll do something very cruel and evil to you to make you suffer as much as humanly possible. Now, you may say that he\'s the creator of the project, so he can\'t be a fan, but that\'s not true at all. If you\'re not a fan of what you create, you wont get far. He has the enthusiasm and skills we all dream of, and he\'s capable of giving us all something to look forward to and enjoy. That really requires a lot. More than what most can give, and I admire him for that. So Talad, you just keep on doing the good work, and Kada... well, stick with it and keep your tavern open always. :)

well since everyone else is doing this and by not helping I\'m not being part of the community so here it goes...

I also vote for Kada-El for most loyal fan. I mean have you seen her website and what she has done to help the community grow? Character stories, polls, forums, guild lists, I mean dang...

I won\'t say any of the Devs or any Mods because we don\'t have to question their loyalty, it would be an understatement to say anything about them.
My name is NOT pronounced, \"Kway-per,\" it\'s pronounced \"Kye-per.\"

Just responding to a couple of things (and in no particular order):

Votes here will not influence the decisions of the devs, and they shouldn\'t influence the decisions of anybody else either. Some people seem to think that newcomers reading this will automatically like a few named people and then treat everyone else as unpopular or \"unloyal\". If you think that, then please go away, and stop bugging me about it.

Windwalker and Kada are both absolutely right in their opinions of what really makes a \"loyal\" PS fan. A post count doesn\'t make you a good person; I can think of a few decent examples of this off the top of my head. But I would hope most people wanting to post their opinions in this thread will realise and understand this, and not just name their best friend, but name someone who dedicates themselves to the project with their time, their playing, getting involved with the community, helping out where they can, making friends both on the forums and ingame, etc. Loyalty is about dedication and commitment, not necessarily popularity alone.

Kada: During the tough times, I did almost falter, but I learnt valuable lessons from the past and apply them now and always. That is the sub-reason of keeping this thread open; I made the decision to reopen it, and no amount of nagging will change it. I can\'t please everyone, so the line has to be drawn somewhere.

If anyone would like to know the primary reason for the re-opening, send me a PM and I will be happy to explain. Please send a PM to respond to anything I\'ve said here that doesn\'t regard the current topic. In other words: don\'t let this be a cause for a wave of OT. ;) Thanks.

(Btw, Depthblade: My sentiments exactly. :) )

Be damned, Luca! It\'s all your fault! :D

Seriously speaking, though, popularity and contests seem to be the rule of thumb of every community alike to this. Moreso in contexts where some have the sensation that it is all a competition (Powerlevelling and looting is a prime example of this, in my opinion), or sometimes the competitive nature of their own spirits.

I try to ignore these form of polls, I do not find them attractive or contstructive at the least and there is always someone who (consciously or not) takes it the wrong way. The result often leads to animosity which could have very well been prevented by simply refraining from making such trivialities available to the public eye.

I recall another huge contest with many nominations and categories, some disdainful such as \"Most Hated\", \"Best Rule Breaker\", \"Least Trustworthy\", etcetera (Which I personally disapproved of).

While it may not have been deliberate, and the intentions may have been good, positive and \"in the name of fun\", these little contests can be harmful and to a decadent extent.

Nobody wants to be pointed out as a bad element or see his/her efforts at being accepted in the community go overlooked (And social psychology studies suggest us that the average mind acts in relation to the crowd he or she wishes to belong to).

Therefore, I refrain from casting a vote, or even giving a simple name and a pat on the back. Biased as it is, my opinion is that this is not the appropriate time or place for such conducts.

Nonetheless I do think that given the opportunity to express my sentiments on the subject even if I am not in agreement with the original premise, I may as well take the chance.

Nobody who voices their disagreement or refusal to comply to the poll should be shunned with a \"Don\'t like it? Go away!\". (Of course, I can understand this happening when the disagreement is expressed in a downrightly lame and uncivilised form)

And for those who are concerned, I took the liberty to search for some quotes on loyalty. For those who like to do some introspection. ;)

\"Lack of loyalty is one of the major causes of failure in every walk of life.\" - Napoleon Hill

\"Most important in a friendship? Tolerance and loyalty.\" - J.K. Rowling

\"An ounce of loyalty is worth a pound of cleverness.\" -Elbert Hubbard.

\"If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans\" - James Herriot (A vet, obviously)

And I say that loyalty is not to be measured or compared. Loyalty is to be treasured and smiled upon, as the precious and invaluable gift it is from one person to another.

Have a very nice day, and excuse the length of the rambling.

Well, as a newb I\'m not sure I cant say I can tell who\'s the most addicted fan, but I can say that I always see Agara online and Gronomist on the forums, so, to me they are quite addicted. But I guess that many of those who will read this post are addicted too so... I\'ll say you are all totally insane :D and I think I\'ll become just like you :)

Well after reading this and a few seconds of deep thinking I have come to a conclusion.
We all vote on how active the person is, what they do to help out, what their post count is, how long they have been around, ect. But the truth is that the only people who can tell how loyal somone is to PS would be the people themselvs. For example, no one could really know how loyal I am to PS but myself. I could say that I would give my life for it, I would pay $500 a month for it ect. but it all comes down to what you really think of PS. So, there is no way to tell how loyal somone else is to PS unless you are that person. I would give examples of loyalty but they would be of me which wouldnt be right. I dont want to use myself as \"the true loyal person\" because the truth is that somone who has only been around for a week may be more loyal than all of us.

It is easier to hate than it is to love.

PM to FESFES: Give me $500 a month or I\'ll take your Planeshift away!! :D

I think polls like this can\'t reveal loyalty itself but *public evidence* of loyalty, although some people would argue that love, faith, loyalty etc. without any evidence don\'t really exist at all.

Hah!  This is just a fun poll everyone. Get over it.  More importantly, keep to the topic...I don\'t recall it asking what your definition of loyalty or popularity is and that\'s why no one is picking you.

I\'d give more, but everyone has already gone over everyone I know (and a lot more)!  Man... :O

I\'m rather dedicated, I think.
There's a fine line between genius and insanity.

Fortunately, I have good balance.
