Skills: Necromancy
« on: September 25, 2004, 08:05:32 pm »
In rubies of eventide, there are lots of classes (between 70-80) and one of the ones i liked most was the necromancer. why? because you can summon little monsters, and you can buff yourself with your magic, and you can also get dark spells that damage monsters. If summoning would be implemented then it would be very fun.

Im prittey sure ive seen a thread about this but allwell. I agree Nacromancy would be cool, it would make the game alot more interesting and add more variety.

Animal-Training is a better system IMO,

But I guess Necromancy could be under the \"Dark Way\" of magic however I probably will not use it for my Character will not be associated with such things of darkness... 8)

it would cost Glyphs to raise a undead creauture, and you need scrolls to learn how to get the undead creatures. Then Summoning levels would restrict noobs from getting vampires, you know what i mean. Animal would be good too but necromancy is always gonna be better :D

I think I would rather be riding on a highly trained Pterosaur than be just another Necromancer on the ground with his little skeleton friends.

If possible you should be able to ride a temporary undead mount.

I would still rather be on a Pterosaur, but thats just me. If some people favor Necromancy over animal training, thats fine with me. Diversity is a good thing.

Thats a funny thought  :D

But I was thinking it would work like this, you use a spell, it summons a monster/undead creature, and it stays with you until it dies.

I sitll prefer a freinds way of doing it- one spell raises a corpse as undead. Anouther repels raised undead, and the last lets you control them. Makes for more spells than just \"raise skeleton\" \"raise skeleton 2\" etc.

How exactly would a skelton creature fly? Wouldn\'t that require massive amounts of flying magic?
Remember people , dark magic deals only in the magic of death. Well, and darkness, and evil... hence I am against it :P But these other effects need other kinds of magic.

My char in RoE was a neo dude. It would have ben a lot of fun but I didnt like the fighting system :(
I wanna be a neo dude mage in PS so yay ^_^

I agree with the whole custome summoning too, it will make the mage think and the smarter mage of two will bet stronger
