A Ton of Suggestions

Hi I am new to PlaneShift. The game trully needs a lot of work and help so I have come up with a ton of suggestions! I do hope that these will assist you in further development of this beutifull game!

GAMEPLAY AND STUFF,

  1) Totorial before entering the world.
  2) A time limit underwater with harsh damage to life points afterwards.
  3) Falling damage
  4) Doubled movement speed
  5) 3rd peson view.
  6) In 1st person view, the ability to see your legs and stuff.
  7) People are supposed to be solid (No passing through people as if they were ghosts)
  8) Ability to kill other players (i wanna be an assasin1)

MAPS,

  1) DARK FOREST - A forest full of tall thick trees making the forest dark becouse of their shadows. A home to all noucternal lifeforms (aka Monsters) that hide in the darkness and ambush the ones who have enoth guts (courage) to go into the woods.  If you somehow manage to pass through the woods, you will find yourself in a plane (Nothing but flowers and sunshine) with a little lake in the middle. In the midlle of that lake is a hole that goes underground to the CAVE CRYSTALIS.
  2) CAVE CRYSTALIS - If you manage to hold your breath for 20 minutes (You will need to use some magic itemz or something) you will emerge in a place of pure beuty. It will be a giant cave crystals, diamods, and minerals (You will need to chop em all of the walls thou). If you go deep enoth you will find a gate made out of strong diamond and a magical barrier. If you despell the barrier and break through the gate you will come face to face with a Crystal dragon. If you manage to beat the dragon a treasure like no other awaits, the KING\'S BLADE.
  3) LEVITATING CASTLE - If you know how to fly you will find it. It is as it says a castle that levitates in the clouds diperting a red magical oura. It is an old abandoned castle that lies in ruins with some chunks of land levitating in no particular order. When you enter the castle you will find many abandoned relics thos of a powerfull mage. There are a few secrets that the castle holds,
First id that there is fake wall and if you find it you will enter a room full of mirrors (walls, cealing, and floor = mirror). With every mirror you brake a 15 eyes monster will appear.
Second is the highst point of the castle. It cant be rerached becouse the passge way is blocked by rubble, but can be reached by climbing 50 rooms up (with a high cahnce of falling of and becoming a pancake). When you get there you will find a DIAMOND OF LEVITATION.
Finally, there is the ROBE OF KI\'ZAUL which can be reached easyly but when you get close a trap is set. A gigantic STEEL ELEMENTAL shall appear and there will be a battle.

ITEMS.
  1) KING\'S BALDE - a magical sword with a high blue magical aura. When attackin the sword will realease a gigatic wave of energy that will incenerate anything that is weak as well as cutting through all bariors. It has a secondary purpose, to summon DIAMOND ELEMENTALS (one every 20 min)
  2)DIAMOND OF LEVITATION - this relic is inserted into forelobe to serve as a third eye. It allows one to fly freely for unlimited umount of time and stops a fall to death.
  3)ROBE OF Ki\'ZAUL - A robe that makes one invisible and reflects attacks.

ELEMENTALS, (Summoned by Magic)
  1) ROCK ELEMENTAL - an elemental that is composed of levitating rocks and looks like a huge humanoid. They are slow but powerfull. High level types can throw their fists (like Rayman)
  2) HARD ROCK ELMENTALS - bigger and stronger version of the rock elementals. Can throw their fists. High level types can jump.
  3) Diamond Elemntal - the wekest one of them all, but has the strongest armor. usually summoned not to fight but to serve other puposes.

I can come up with more if you like these. I apologize for my bad grammar (if anybody cares).

Do some research before you start suggesting things, trust me, I learnd that the hard way

1) its been talked about already
2) no under water yet and of course, only one race can go under litmetless
3) well duh! havent you seen the cb screens?
4) you mean pressing shift?
5) there is -_- press M
6) Hmmmm maybe as a fourth view I dont care for it though I always use 3rd person
7) the devs know they will fix it
8 ) Ya of course ther will be havent you read what CB will include? geez

9) The maps are already planned out Though the devs may take a few ideas from what you have

10) The items.... pointless to me. a little on the \"uber sword that pwns everything\" side

11) There\'s already a magic sysem

Possible, long term.  Not planned for any of the development versions.

No water areas defined yet but is logical.

Crystal Blue has 5 or 6 different camera modes.

1st person view your mesh is turned off to make sure there is no obstructions to the view.

I\'m not sure this will every go away.  Maybe only for combat.  This is a very good way for people to annoy others by standing in door ways, ladders, etc.

Guild wars are something we have in the pipes where if you are at war you can kill anybody anywere from that guild.

A tutorial might be nice.  I hate be one of those noob that run around asking something like...

\"Um... how do I attack?\"
\"How do I trade?\'
\"How do I do *foo*?\"

A tutorial will be very nice.

Walking through people is... a bit weird...  Maybe if we implement the ability to push/pull them out of the way if they just park their character there.

I suggested a tutorial world on Character Creation here: http://planeshift.oodlz.com/wbboard/thread.php?threadid=10041&boardid=11&styleid=2
Basically I suggested a world that takes place of the Char creation were you can actually see your Char\'s fighting before actually creating your chars while optionally taking short tutorials on how to attack with different weapons & other basic functions like mining animal training etc... :D

(It was getting to were people wanted offline version of PS, not my original intention)
just a GUI window with Char creation options & 3D Char Creation & Tutorial World. Char Creation is of-line in MB then uploaded to server...

It reduces newbie questions by about 70% - 80% I estemate...

i guess that would make sense. but what if people abused it too much. like, say, someone was fighting, then someone could go pull them away and ks the monster. or vice versa, (this is more logical) if someone is ksing, the one being ksed can shove the other person.

Lots of people use the \"Ghost\" effect in RP...

I have an idea, why not make them come close enough to touch, but not actually Wake through, however you can walk through people in certain places like doorways....

Although it would take lots of aditional programming & I do not think this would be implimented any time soon if @ all...

The pushing and pulling will only work if they\'re idle.  Not in combat.

The idea is that if they just stand in front of a door for no reason, you can just push them away.

When I said \"Doubled moving speed\" I meant that the movement speed should be doubled; the cherecter speed is way too slow, walking should be the speed of running and running speed should be doubled.
Umm, about killing other players, you are saying that that will only be possible in certain situations? That will not be so much fun... /-8

Nice job with the game so far. I am ju\' wanderin why is it called Molecular Blue? What does that acsually mean?

1. I think moving speed is fine! But maybe we should be able to lock it on running (walkin is pretty slow). Also there are SOME people who don\'t want to PK all the time... some peace and quiet, kapiesh(sp)?

2. Yes, I\'ve seen that in a different MMORPG... it\'s sortof weird and annoying.

3. That sounds cool! But it would have to respawn pretty soon.

4. This game will not be completely combat-oriented. SORRY.

5. I think that\'s just a wierd version name :D. The next one will be \'Crystal Blue\'
