A nice cave for beginners
« on: October 03, 2004, 09:30:27 am »
Right when you walk outside, there is a huge plains and mobs for all the beginners, but in one field that is relitively close to the town would be a cave. In this cave would be a nice variety of low level monsters that drop certain materials for smithing and armorworking(recycling models is ok too! :D), a few miining points, getting certain herbs for being a Pharmacist, and other things. There may be some pros and cons:

1Q. What if high level guys come in and swarm the place.
1.A. hahaha, well have fun, most this stuff is for beginners, materials and mobs, they will get nothing good out of this. Even the materials for armorwork and Weaponsmithing will be very \"N00BY\" and would be a waste for people who are experienced.
1Q. But I\'m a 1337 N3\\|/By Mast3r!!one
2A. Go jump off a bridge you illiterate...I mean, well uh, have fun talking 1337.

A beginners adventures cave would be fun and nice for beginners to make an extra tria or two.

They would probably put some kind of invisible barrier to stop higher levels getting in to spoil the low levellers fun, though does it have to be a cave?

They are always so dark and wet, with loads of mushrooms everywhere, traps on the floor, then there are always the rodents...

Why not a long winding valley, with creatures getting harder to kill as you get further and further...

Also, what you could prolly get out of armor smithing is leather, and fangs. for weapon smithing you could make weapons out of fangs, bones, and all that good stuff. But, i disagree, I\'d rather have a cave.

and there would be no cap for skill(level) there are better places to make a better income, as i said before, this will be for beginners

wow, that threw me off, a offline world is different from this. you can collect meaterials you need for smithing, become a better pharmicist, not just explore the offline world. I\"m sorry, but that was kinda random. please things that not off topic. thank you.

The idea of newbie areas *has* been discussed before.  It is likely that there will be less dangerous areas, but I don\'t think \"designated\" newbie zones are a good idea - in my mind, it would break concentration on character and realism and focus on levels and stats.
