Hi. I\'m All new and did just start to play the game. But a person told me that the game i was playing was a Beta.

HELP ME!!! I wana play the Real game.

atm that is only the early alpha, no beta nor fullgame

What you are playing is normally reffered to as Molecular Blue, or MB for short. It is a technology preview released to show off the fact that the concept itself actually works. It is also currently the only version you can play.

The next version, which is currently in closed beta testing (check out posts in other places in the forums, the SEARCH button is your friend), is called Crystal Blue, or CB for short. Lots and lots of stuff has happened, such as for example the introduction of magic and combat (both of which are not there in MB, so don\'t ask why you can\'t hit people ).

However, while CB is a great leap forward, that won\'t even be the final version, but it will be perfectly playable, so don\'t let that stop you

It is my impression that CB is the second pre-alpha version, or maybe the first alpha version. Therefore, any \"beta testing\" of CB is \"beta-testing the alpha version\", and therefore is still far from anything beta AFAICS.

Also, it might be worthwile to at least try to acquire some decent level of knowledge about the development status by research before asking about it.

I\'m pretty sure its alpha. Then will go beta, and then if all goes well, will be the \"complete\" game!!! WHOO


P.S. complete is in quotes cuz no mmorpg is technically complete because of the constant patches and additions

MB [Mollecular Blue] - the version you\'re playing now is a pre-alpha ...meaning, still far far away from the actual release.

CB [Crystal Blue] is now being beta-tested ...but it\'s still an early alpha release ...a real beta is still quite some time away

but on the other hand - this \"beta\" \"alpha\" thing is maybe not the best way to describe PlaneShift\'s status, since it will keep on developing and evolving ad infinitum :]

in the end it really just matters that you like what you see and enjoy playing it (and that in a few months it will all be even cooler *again*!)
