3D) Twin Blade, Circle Sword
« on: October 15, 2004, 08:30:03 pm »
Hi there!

Befor I go on holidays for one week, I want to show two more of my new models I designed. This is the work of 3 hours so don\'t be too strict. xD
The Sword has 462 Polys and the Twin Blade has 102 Polygons.

Here are some Pics:

And here are the files:

Circle Sword  31 kb

Twin Blade  10 kb

I\'d like to see your comments. =)

They\'re very pretty, but I\'d be frightened to pick up that sword incase the blade just... fell off. :P

The twin blade texture needs to be metallic. Currently it looks like flat poly shading, the sort you see in Final Fantasy 7.

Apart from that, keep up the good work. :)

Hey, nice swords!
But my suggestion for the first one would be to make it so that the sword is going through the ring, into the handle.

They look excellent except I agree with Magura, If I could just get the files I could make the blades look like they are shiny metal, the links are dead & I can\'t get the files:

Try freepgs.com maybe? or I\'ll see if I can get around it...

Edit: Ok I got around it by going here:

Ops, I couldn\'t find the texture for it, I sort of need that to enhance the blade texture...

Nice ones!

If you leave off the brownish thing in the twinblade and also bend the blades a little more, you could even make another bow from it! Seriously, it\'d be a little on the powerful side, but a Kran would just break any normal bow, so maybe it could be used as a Kran bow... why not take double advantage of the same effort?

Yeah, the sword mesh needs some work. The texture is pretty good, but that blade will never stay in that little ring.

And your Twin Blade looks awesome. I modeled something like that a while ago. The only thing is that you should change the handle from wood to more like a steel bar with leather grip (sword hilt) or something like that. The wood doesn\'t seem like it would support that kind of weight, assuming the blades are solid metal.
