« on: October 25, 2004, 04:28:19 pm »
Hi,
I maked a Map for PS 5 days ago. Its a map of the complete dungeon ! I will be make a map of the town, too. Can them Program the map as ingame map in the game ? I can Style it or convert in the format that they want. A little question of me, hoe can i make textures in \"Blender\" ? But back at the map. What do you think about this ?

I\'m not entirely sure what to think but if you are saying that you made a map for MB well CB is in testing and shouldn\'t be that far off so I don\'t know how much use it would be since the world will be changing some.
If you are intrested in making a map for CB well I would say wait til CB is out for everyone to see what, if anything is implemented.

EDIT: Not sure if that even came close to answering your questions but I wasn\'t really sure what your questions were besides the Blender one and that I have no clue on. :)

IMO I would just scan in what you have now that way if it is something that is worth working on people will let you know then you can worry about what programs you are going to use.

In order to actually get it ready for in-game use you would need modeling and texturing skills, as well as a program to use.  I would recommend just making your current 2d map look pretty (use photoshop, gimp, PSP, or another high-quality photo editing program), maybe add some 2d concept drawings of what certain rooms would look like from a 3d perspective, etc.  For starters, however, like they said, just scanning it in would be good.

Wait till you play CB to make the town map. Hydlaa is much different from the old Molecular Blue version.
