The Red Sox, for the first time in 85 years, have won the world series!

I never thought I would live to see it. This is AWESOME!

Yea, I just saw this too!! I don\'t really like the Red Sox, but I figured they would never beat the rich Yankees. I rooted for the Red Sox, because of the curse and the fact that the Cardinals beat the Houston Astros...Grr. =.=

Btw, There is this lady that saw the Red Sox win the World Series in 1918. I hope she didn\'t have a heart attack. :P

Psst, it was 86 years, not 85, right? 1918 was the last time they won it. It is 2004 now... :P

All I can say is I am glad I wasn\'t around to suffer for all 86 years of losing. But I do remeber still being devestaed when the ball went through Bill Buckner\'s legs in \'86.

As a die-hard Red Sox fan for the last 20 years all I can say is....

Rounding is like when you round a decimal number, for example, 85.987, to 86. You, simply, are an idiot. (j/k) But, you either miscalculated or you are oblivious to what year we are currently in...

I\'ll sit here and sulk over my teamm getting swept.  But I guess all in all they had one of the best seasons in there club history.  But its to bad they didnt capitalize and win the series :(.

I guess there is always dreams of next year of winning the series, as well as having another wonderfull season.

I actually do not view it as a broken curse, more an inturrupted spell. someone will cast it again as soon as they have enough MP and we\'ll all be watching the white and blue (it really is navy blue no matter what anyone says. I will never beleive differently.) slurp up all the games another year.

Yes I am a pessimist. :]
