New developers

I\'ve just become (re)interested in this project over the last couple of days, and it seems that all development is in a closed sort of state.

What I am wondering (and maybe I already answered my own question) is, what is happening with new developers at the moment?   Are we able to sign up, or do we have to wait till CB is out, before we\'ll really get a chance to start contributing?

There are a few threads around mentioning stuff like this but basically all applications are on hold until after CB is out.

Can\'t wait to join the team and contribute, once CB is out (if I don\'t get sucked in to CB and play it all day - the CVS build looks soooo good )

Yes, I know personally I don\'t really have a lot of time to donate to new people at the moment.  Also at the moment we don\'t have a good subset of tasks for new people to \'cut their teeth on\'.  The things we are trying to fix now require a pretty deep familarity with the code base.

BUT we are always on the lookout for people to help, especially those that can build the entire project with only limited help from us.   So stick with it, keep reading stuff over and seeing if you can spot and obvious issues.

Once CB is out the door we will be in the planning stages for the next release.  At that point we will have a nice idea of what we will need to do and will have a good set of tasks for new people to try out.
