avatars in forums

i just noticed that no one, except for a select few people in these forums have avatars(small picture that goes under name)... is this because it is only available to modertaors.. or am i missing something, becuase i cant figure out how to get an avatar on here >= |

Dev\'s, mod\'s and special people (like kada and Grono)  have them, and as far as i know thats all that are allwoed to have them

Because the forums aren\'t set up that way would be one.
 Two would be that the easiest way to set it with a Burning Board forum is to have the avatars uploaded to the server hosting the forums which you can guess why they wouldnt want to do that. If not look at the almost 10,000 registered users and figure out the math.
Besides I like the fact that it sets those people apart from everyone else.
So yes only Admins, Mods, Devs and special cases get avatars.

I think only Devs and Mods (including probationary, temporary) get them. I don\'t think WTB Members get them, do they?

WTB members do get avatars, at least Niber and Djaggernaught have them, there are others too.

you say you can stick imges in your sig, and I see them in yours, but it will not work for me, I made a simple sig in the gimp, and am hosting it on my site, but it will not link corretly, and that is not because my host does not allow linking, so any help anyone?

Use photobucket or a site like that that is used for image hosting that will allow you to link off site.
Sorry don\'t have the urls handy but I am sure someone will either come along with them or do the all mighty Google Search.
