Why are you even posting that here? Would you go the guildwar forum and post something like this?

I\'m back.... Perhaps in black.

I will play both because i\'m fascinated by these two games. WoW would be also great, but i don\'t like paying monthly fees.

I think he is trying to make is that both games are similar because they dont have a monthly fee. This means that you can stop playing the game, and come back four months later, and you still have all of your stuff, without having to go through the hasssle of signing up again and etc.

This is a huge plus for me, as I can only play when I am home on holidays, which makes it frustrating to have to sign up time and time again just to play. I think the reason guild wars has so much appeal is that once you place those first $50 down, the payments are over, and  you can play the game without the pressure of having to pay for it.

That is why planeshift appeals to so many players, because it is free, but at the same time isnt one of those crappy 2d games on the internet.
Ever wanted to make a game, but you didn?t have the experience? We are making a 2d RPG and need scripters, artists, writers and world builders! Send an application, prior experience is not necessary!

mortisangelus : strange idea...
I already played Rubies of Eventides and Priston Tales and today I\'ve found : Dark Age Of Camelot emulated by doll. These one are free and I continu to play ps : this is not a problem !

I don\'t think comparing Planeshift with Guild Wars is wise, from the simple fact that Guild Wars is  commercial. The game will cost, though it won\'t have monthly fees.
Even with these said, I can guarantee you Planeshift has more revolutionary ideas, and it can \"smash to the ground\" a lot of p2p MMORPGs.
And yes, as Kiern said, why playing only one game?

Icefalcon: you can play Dark Age of Camelot for free on the free servers. Though, the servers are not very stable, and still have a lot to compete with the original ones.

One thing that Annah is on to, is that Guild Wars is commercial, which means that when it doesn\'t generate any more money, they will close the servers

I dont think they ll close the server but there will be a lot of add ons (each 6monthes) and it wont be costless...

Icefalcon: an emulator called DOLL has been created to play DAOC. There is a lot of freeshares so no problem to play...

Ok, don\'t forget that the company doing Guild Wars is a division of NC Soft, that has Lineage II.
 So they have money :P

As for DAoC the freeshard servers are really poor (if your primary language is english). I believe there is a very good dutch server.

I got sick of it, and bought the game, for $5 Australian. Though I\'m having trouble with it right now, I need to contact the support people.

I no i will still try CB even if Guild wars is released or not

btw the reason why i left WoW out off this topic it is because both PS and GW are free to play, dont need to pay monthly payments to rich fat greedy pigs (Blizzard)

Well, WoW looks nucking futs! The only reason you gotta pay is because they can\'t afford to maintain, (sorry, that should be \"can\'t\") ) servers.

There\'s loads of freeshard servers out there for games such as Ragnarok, DAoC, Lineage 2, etc. They\'re free and legal... but it\'s not legal for you to connect to them. Think of it akin to downloading music MP3\'s, if you know what I mean.

On that note... *cough* you will not find some PS players currently playing here.
