But they can afford battle.net with all the W3,(TFT),D,D2,S:BW....etc.

Those aren\'t running persistant worlds, which can put some stress on the server, Diablo 3, I mean Guild Wars, does not have a persistant world, therefore there is no need to charge a fee.

The servers for WoW require much more than those for Battle.net. They can have thousands on one server.
Battle.net being free seems to me to reinforce the idea that WoW should be P2P, they need the money to run all of the servers..

I suppose you are one of those people that don\'t play there Moogie?
You won\'t find me logged into the forums as Allandrad... nope.

I think that Planeshift is alot better than guildwars considering i know nothing about guild wars and i have made loads of friends in the community here  :))  Everyone is just so nice and kind to eachother :)

And lucky enough its FREE .

To be completely honest, I find the concept and the setting of PS, and the community it currently has more appealing than the cost (or lack thereof.)

Are most people only interested because it\'s free? Or are they like me?

Am I the only one who found Morrowind tedious and boring? (I did however enjoy being able to jump from the very top of that city divided into quares and surviving. My athletics and acrobatics was extremely high from jumping and running and swimming everywhere, it made traveling easy).

Bloodlines...
Ever play the pen and paper Vampire: The Masquerade?
It involved lots of dice, and a plethora of whining gothy angsty kids and politics.
It was great fun as you can tell...
I advise avoiding it at all costs... World of Darkness sucks, play Adventure D20 instead

 So they have money :P

And they will gain most likely more after each addon!

You are not \"forced\" to buy these addons though.
But others who will have them have acces to more/other parts of the game world and gain abillities people without the addons will never be able to gain!

I\'ll stick with Plain Sh.t, oops i mean Shift! ;)

I wouldn\'t even compare the two... because... well...  they\'re not even remotely close in nature to each other. I loved Guild Wars in the Preview Event, but PS isn\'t even in a state of an MMORPG, it\'s hard to explain. I don\'t think it is possible to compare the two.

That and Diablo 3, I mean Guild Wars, isn\'t even a MMO.

Hey I heard of Guild Wars and *shaking of terror* I think it shall be forbidden to call that RP.
AFAIK when you commit war between guilds the guildhouses will be teleported together. *again shaking but even harde*
I want to be a flame, to crumble to ash, but never ever burnt.

I want to rise higher, rise up to the heavens, but sink, just sink down deeper and deeper into nothing,

I want to be an angel, a chosen, a devil, but I am just a creature that ever wants what it wont get.

no persistant world exsists.  All it is is a string of chat rooms where you meet people then \"enter\" the actual game which only for you and your party.  You could try and say that the main town is persistant but it isn\'t, its just \"Diablo West Realm\" chat room 1-50.  It\'s a good system that I would like to see in other games but calling it an MMO isn\'t right.  Even the devs never say it is a MMO.  If you liked Diablo II, Guild Wars is pretty much Diablo 3.
