(im new so bear with me here please) at the load page when i launch planeshift it will fully load then go to not responding then i have to close it and restart and the same thing happens. Ive made my account and everything (i think) but i still havent gotten to play because i cant get into the game.

Downloaded today, md5sumed it, fired up the updater and this is what I got:

LoadLibraryEx error 1157:
One of the library files needed to run this application cannot be found.
WARNING: could not load plugin \'crystalspace.kernel.vfs\'
Couldn\'t load VFS plugin \'crystalspace.kernel.vfs\'
ERROR: csInitializer: SetupConfigManger failed!
Is your CRYSTAL environment variable set?
Exiting PlaneShift. Press Enter...

DId a file search for all files created today just to see if I could pinpoint where the missing plugin files are at and I appearently don\'t have them. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Description of the bug: In some areas out side the city I barely can move(i.e. forest path) I have 10 sec lags..then I can move for few sec,then lag again.
*note:I have 500 mb free space on C: drive and 800 on disc where I installed then game (can that be the problem?)
**note:I am using adaptive camera w/ min dist 10 and min fps 10.And that didnt help much. sound off and vertex buffer off

most of my pc is built of ex miltary pc parts so that may be a problem but its never affected gaming before usually i avoid problems because of them

you need to load in a .dll file and it is msvcr70.dll You can get  it at
http://www.dll-files.com/ Once you download it and unzip it, copy or move(doesn\'t matter which) to the /windows/system/ folder. Then you should be able to get it to work.

Let me just show you about my computer to my farthest ability instead of typing this all in.



Now, my problem is that..I can\'t seem to turn my character around without 2minutes of sheer lag. By lag I don\'t mean stuttering, I mean STOPPAGE. It Then when I do something it might start and do something. I know that 800MHz/256RAM is pretty darn bad, but I play games like Diablo 2 LoD, and Warcraft III Reign Of Chaos. They work fine, no lag at all ever.
 
I also run on a T1 connection, so I should have no problems what so ever internet speed wise. Is this all just because lack of servers at the moment?

Also, a bug I noticed. After sending a message via Help and recieving an answer, I found out that I could no longer send messages. Just thought I would point that out.

Please do respond, in some way. I would like to know why it\'s running so slowly on my CPU. If it just me, or if it\'s the game.

Opengl or safe mode:Default since i cant open setup
Description of bug:I can\'t run the updater, Setup, or Planeshift, after the updater downloads the new version of itself. (to be clear after it downloads the new updater) What should i do? I have reinstalled and it will start the updater and setup, that is until it downloads the new updater and installs it.

The best way to get around the updater problem is to go to the Plansshift flolder and manually run the updateswhen it gets done downloading there will be .zip files in the Planeshift folder. Unzip them into the Planeshift folder and then have fun! I\'ve had this problem several times and manually unzipping them always works for me.

Also, I\'ve already posted this once before but, here it is again. If you are missing a .dll file go to

http://www.dll-files.com/

Download the missing DLL, unzip it into the /win/system/ folder, and that should take care of your DLL troubles

thx i will try what you said to see if that fixes my problem the thing im worried about is that it isnt updateing the game its updateing the updater and it seems to work or patch it correctly but after its done it wont run again so therefore i cant get the update files for the game. all the same i will try this and also i know about the dll problems i have had those before on a few games and i know howto fix those but thx for that anyway.

i have found out what is probably my main problem with the client and updater running when it starts I always noticed a ms-dos screen pop up but could never read what it said at the top so i decided to use a screen shot taken right as it poped up to read it. apparently it can not load the plugin crystalspace.documentsystem.tinyxml

Im assumeing that this has happened before and someone knows howto fix it or even better the answer is probly in here posted already im going to read a little but please if you know howto fix this go ahead and reply or link me to the thread with the answer.
