erm although i myself havent dled the game yet because of my embarrassing bps :(. the only thing i can see thats even close to being bad is your proc Celeron=armpit of procs but that shouldnt slow down your performance that much...MOOGIE!

Pretty much everyone has lag. It has more to do with the problems with some of the code for MB then computer specs, but computers do help contribute. From what I hear in CB the code is much better so this shouldnt be as much of an issue.
The one thing I would suggest though is either don\'t run in OpenGL mode or upgrade your video card. Tnt 32 mb cards don\'t run much without lag even with the most current drivers.

ok, i seriously doubt you have a 100 mbps connection to the internet, as even a dedicated t1 is only 1.5mbps if you have cable, its probably 128 or 256 kbps. But as for your lag problem, i would guess that it is your TNT2. that is a rather old chipset, and may be your problem. I would go out and buy a newer video card. I  got my gForce 4 MX 400 for $20 a couple months ago, so i doubt a newer vid card is out of your price range. (especially if you have server 2k3, as that costs a pretty penny.) ;)

ShadowFalcon, i live in Turkey and in Turkey it is very expensive to buy a new graphic card (about 70-100$)
i have one more question: for best performance in Planeshift, what operation system i should use?
I think the answer is Linux, but if answer is Linux which version of it should be?...

That depends on your level of knowledge and your willingness to learn. There are hundreds of distros available targeting different kinds of users. It\'s best if you get an overview first:
http://www.linux.org/dist/index.html
http://www.distrowatch.com (check the links on the right)
These sites have good descriptions of the different distros.

But I would buy another stick of 256MB ram if I were you, even if you stay with win2k3.

Back to Planeshift again \\o/

a GeForce 4 isnt exactly new, its pretty outdated as well, but you could still get much better performance out of planeshift if you got one. even a G2 or a G3 wouldnt hurt. I would get a new video card before i got more RAM if I were you. but if you can get both, deffenitaly do that.

I have very important questions:
Is the Planeshift runs more faster in Linux?
If the answer is yes,
Which Linux Distro is the fastest?
Karosh_Steinkatz i went your links that you give me but im not sure which linux is better?
Here is my choices, which is the best, why?
-SuSe Linux
-Mandrake Linux
-RedHat Linux
-Fedora Core Linux
Thank you very much...

i myself has always preferred RedHat even tho its really the only one i\'ve worked with. For someone thats new to it i\'ve been told its the easier of the rest...thus is my 2 cents

Is the Planeshift runs more faster in Linux?

I can only speak for myself, but it might apply to others too. MB runs a bit slower in linux, but I think that depends on the graphics card and driver. I used a Radeon 9600 Pro  before, and I had a lower framerate as I had with the windows client due to ATI\'s driver which is really lame. With my new GeForce it\'s as fast as in windows. I think so, since I don\'t play MB in windows anymore.  CB runs much better, but I didn\'t run it  in windows before, so I can\'t  give a comparison here.

Which Linux Distro is the fastest?

Many people say Gentoo is the fastest, but I think there are no big differences, unless you think  <2 seconds is very much ;) The speed mostly depends on your computer and the used kernel.

-SuSe Linux
-Mandrake Linux
-RedHat Linux
-Fedora Core Linux

SUSE and Mandrake are mostly designed for newbies to the linux world (formerly windows users). There is pretty much stuff onboard and they have nice and easy-to-use tools to configure your system.
Fedora Core is the successor to Red Hat which isn\'t developed for private use anymore (the only Red Hat available now are designed for companies and not free anymore). I don\'t know FC, since I only heard about it, but they say it is good for newbies too.

In the end I will give you a list of distros which are good in my own opinion with a small summary of their features:

For lazy windows users who don\'t like the command line:
SUSE Linux
+ Easy to use and configure
+ Very popular
+ Many packages available (RPMs)
+ Good documentation (thick books shipped with it)
+/- Network install ISO image available (boot from it and install off the net)
-  No full ISO image for download available (there is one, but from the previous version and it lacks many packages)
- Costs money (if you want the retail version with manuals)

For users who are not afraid of the command line and want to know the ways in which linux works:
Slackware
+ Free
+ Quite popular
+ Very stable, good for servers
- No X (graphical surface) activated by default
- Not many configuration tools available

Arch Linux ( :D )
+ Free
+ Good package system
+ Helpful community
+/- Packages are quickly updated after a release (within 1-2 days usually)
- Not very well known
- No configuration tools available (the text editor is your best friend)

For users who like to compile everything by themselves instead of using prepared packages:
Gentoo
+ Free
+ Very popular
+ Many packages available
+ Highly optimized (if you begin from stage 1 or 2)
+/- Every package will be compiled on your computer
- Getting big packages (like KDE) takes a lot of time (see above)
- No binary packages available (none that I know of)
- No configuration tools available

For absolutely insane people who have monster hardware, lots of time to kill and want to build their own linux:
Linux From Scratch (more of a book than of a actual distro)
+ Free
+ Full control over your OS
- Very much to read
- Takes very much time to prepare and compile
- You need very much knowledge of linux

I give no guarantee that the descriptions are 100% correct ;)

Edit: forgot to mention CB

Karosh_Steinkatz, i don\'t know how can i thank you.
Thank you very much my friend you were really help me...
I think the Fedora Core 3 is the best...(it uses new version of the kernel, so it is faster than other distros)

I have a 100mbps connection too. People get confused and think it means you can download 100 megabytes per second. Thats not what it means, to be honest, I don\'t know what it means, but its a typical cable connection.
