Planeshift version: PlaneShift_CBV0.3.002_macosx
OS: 10.3.6
Computer: 1Ghz G4 Powerbook 768mb ram
Video Card: NVidia GFeorce FX 5200
Character Name: Mosfet Cthulhu

Bug Title: MacOSX - Client not fully usable for macs with default Apple mouse
Severity: High
Client setup: 800x600 Windowed
Bug Details:

The Default Apple mouse comes with only one button.
Standard Mac programming is to use Control + mouse button = Right Mouse click.
The usually do this, but apps that take full control  usually have a settings that can be user defined as to how to define a right click.

There is a bit of a conflict here as Control + Mouse already equals Mouse Run

You\'re welcome to create a suitable config file we can have as alternative if you\'re on Mac

I found the file, so I\'ll take a look this evening.  Unfortunately, we\'re behind a stupid MS Proxy server here at work, and just about every out going port here is blocked. :(  I miss being the System Administrator, and thus being God of the network :P

Can\'t remember right-click for crystal space at the moment, but you could also try Command-click.  Let me know the results, I know I was able to work something out until my one-button died.. then I bought a two button.

Command Click didn\'t work for me, but heres what I did:

I edited planeshift_folder/data/options/mouse_def.xml to this:

Quote

The mapping is now different from the PC version, but it\'ll work for one button mice.

I tried to use some sort of system for the mapping.
Control = right click type of things
Option (Alt) = looking related
Shift = modifier if added to another or Mouse Run by itself

Heres a pic to make it easier to see:

Whats everyone think?
I actually use a Logitech MX700, but I\'ll try out this setup for a while.

You lost me. I have no idea what that code does/where to put it. o_o

I\'m on a laptop (Powerbook) and I can\'t crtl+click either. It\'s not set for auto run or anything, it actually does nothing at all. My problem is that for shortcut setting and menu adjustment and such I need to right click. Would that code apply? Where would I put it in a non CVS Planeshift folder?

named: interesting, that\'s good to know

Csophae: First, if you read the thread carefully, you\'d have seen that they specified a file. Second, it is poor etiquette to resurrect such ancient threads (this thread is over a year old!). This is sometimes called \"grave-digging\" and is frowned upon. Just make a new thread in the future, perhaps linking to the old thread. iLock for grave-digging.
