character pictures prevents dead accounts

In some cases you simply aren\'t happy with the character you made and you want to do a complete remake of thata chracter without wasting an account slot, so it makes me wonder, can characters be deleted?

I think it\'s a joke but no french is able to understand if your ironic sentence mean :
- 51 words is too many
or
- 51 words is not too many

cause there are effectively sentences with more than 50 words... it\'s not hard to do in french cause our brain is able to follow... :-P (eh you\'re ironic with me I\'m ironic with you ;-))

I know the english sentences are pretty shorts and I think this is not bad.

In fact in MB you just have a draw (fine the draw but not what we wanted to know) and after everybody think not he could go back at the first page when he see his character and moreover when you run you dont see the character with the same side.

My wish in that thread could be apply to the forum or to the planeshift official website (http://www.planeshift.it).

There are more than 250000 accounts created but I really think there isn\'t a lot of players who keeps playing. When somebody create account and stop to play ps, I call this kind of account \"dead account\".

And in fact a lot of these dead accounts are abandonned because people doesn\'t like their character and wanted to change...

But today the developpers wanna start the accounts creation again because of the number of dead accounts (absolutly huge one). So that\'s why I advice them to show us these characters (with screenshots or renderers)

Well, as I said, the NWN system would be good for this. Basicly, it is your char as it will show up in the game, against a black background, and you can move and turn so that you can examine it\'s looks and animations. AFAIR, you can also zoom out to see what it would look like from a distance. Pretty good IMO.

As for the abandoned MB chars: surely changes of chars will be one reason, but I believe that the majority of these accounts come from people who just wanted to try out PS. Also, there will be lots of corrupted accounts, from all these people who didn\'t know or care about the deletion page in linkdead and related cases.
Another reason will be people who left PS to wait for the next  version.

However, even if such a system wouldn\'t prevent the majority of abandoned accounts, it\'d be worthwile IMO. For the remaining accounts that will undoubtly still accumulate in CB, I have already proposed the automatic deletion for extended inactivity, making the database self-cleaning.

As for the sentence length: AFAICS, there is no language that couldn\'t be used to construct sentences of arbitrary length without violating any syntactical or other rules at all.

That sounds pretty good although I would like to be able to change the background colour and the light levels/angles so you can truely see what your character will be like in all situations.
