help!!! POP UPS!!!

i downloaded this peice of shyat program and now i got loads of popups!  i used ad aware, spy bot S&D  

and scanned norton,(no viruses)

but i keep getting pop ups every 2 minutes    what can i do?

First of all, make sure you did delete the program.  
 Then, grab Lavasoft Ad-Aware SE Professional, update it, and scan with it. Make sure you\'ll use the \"customized\" scan, and I strongly suggest you to check to scan everywhere (even in archives). Also, don\'t bother scanning on other partitions than the primary one, where Windows in installed.
 After, to be sure, go to http://www.bitdefender.ro (yea, Romanians make the great antiviruses ...) and take the antivirus, update it, and scan with it. Norton, let\'s say it\'s not so bright (only thing good from symantec -> Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition V9, though it\'s for servers)
 Also, it\'s very important to have your Windows up-to-date. You should have all patches from MS.
 Ah, and stop using IE

i use Mozzilla firefox, have zonealarm, norton, spyware docter, ad-aware SE, and OMG SPYWARE DOCTER FIXED IT


i just cracked spyware docter so i get live update for free. and viola i got it gone!! wooot wooot

Try a program called SpySweeper.

Also, Check all of your processes, the virus may be in there!!

There are a bunch of programs that check the processes, yry one!

Also try a RegCleaner 4.3....

Are you scanning your whole hard drive with ad-aware? Or just doing a quick system scan?

Some spyware has an installer that gets hidden somewhere which often isnt detected by some spyware removers so if you get rid of the spyware it just installs itself again. Find the file you downloaded and delete it and search your taskmanager for any tasks that look suspicious.
If all else fails, reformat

Some advice, don\'t log into anything personal or anything, or your bank account.

There\'s a good chance that the adware comes bundled with spyware/malware which watches what you type; a keylogger.


Look in your startup list (Run-->\"msconfig\") for some strange programs. In general, if you google things (e.g. csrss.exe), you\'ll get a description (is it legit?). If it\'s not, or it doesn\'t come up with anything, copy the exe to a different place, then delete it (kill that process if it\'s running first), and then replace it with something else, such as a text file that is \"GATORBARGAINS.EXE\", whatever that program was before. Then make that read-only. Sure, you\'ll get errors when you start your computer, \"GATORBARGAINS.EXE is not a valid Win32 Application\", but it should be okay.

Alternatively, you could post a dump of your startup apps, and we could pore (SP) over it.

it has 2 selections b/c i had to many for one screen, so i took 2 screens and pasted together to make one.

Hmm heres somthing iv done to remove spyware before.

Go to your folder options and make it so you can see all hidden files and folders.

Go to the start menu and rightclick on it and go to explore.

Find a folder called temp under you main hard drive and get rid of everything in there cuz you dont need anything in there anyways.

If you cant delet a program cuz it say its currently in use... ta da! You just found spyware.

To deleat the spyware go to your control pannel and click processes. Try to find somthing under YOUR username or any other ones logged on NOT under system. The name should kinda be related to the file name.
Ex: If the file name is Web offers! Try to find somthing like Webfer.exe and it will probably be it.
When you terminate a process try to deleat the program again and when you can deleat it ta da! Success!

I hope hat helped you somehow. And thtis will only work on windows xp.

a good program to have is System Mechanic... to control startup processes and such... a really good tool for any computer... just make sure you know what you are doing
