a way to modify our email address after char creation
« on: December 23, 2004, 09:14:13 pm »
I wish there will be a way to modify your email address once you have created your character cause if I change my ISP I don\'t want to annoy developpers and admins to change my email address...

trying to modify my email address after ISP change
« Reply #2 on: April 27, 2005, 12:13:39 am »
Well, I decided to get DSL and in order to do that, I learned from my
ISP  in the next town that they could not do DSL in my town since the local phone company that was in my town would not let them and so
I talked to a  friend and they recommended the local phone company and now I have DSL.   So a download of the new Mac 9 version took about 30 minutes.    I did discover that I can get in the forums just using my username and password.   However my try to enter planeshift bogs down and I think it is because my email location is now different that what it was yesterday.   I may just go to my old email location and see if I can get farther into planeshift.
     I have not created any character yet.

Erm... your logic here simply boggles my mind. :P

Just because you don\'t actively use that email address anymore has absolutely, completely and entirely no effect whatsoever on the speed of the game. How could the two possibly be linked, really??

All your email address is used for is allowing your password to be sent to you. It does nothing else. It\'s just a username- nothing gets sent or received from your email address at all, and its not checked or pinged or anything when you log in with it.

lol, sorry to make a big thing of it, it\'s just the oddest thing I\'ve heard all day. :)

moogie in France there\'s a famous expression :
ne jamais dire jamais -> never say never

I think one day the developpers could try to use this mail address... Nothing is sure in this world...

@Felix : amusing ;-) you are a mac user, arent you? :-P

The best thing a mac user trying to use a pc said in my memory was :
\"Je ne sais pas me servir d\'un ordinateur j\'ai un Mac ? la maison\"

-> I cannot use a computer cause i\'ve a Mac at home

a really good subject of reflexion...
