« on: December 24, 2004, 09:14:47 pm »
Hmm.. its kind of weird, but in the box, that says: put in your mail adress I cant write an: \"@\" .
I have a german keybord and I tried nearly every key: alt + 2,3, ?,? , ...

Help me! :D

Press \"shift\" + \"alt\" and your keyboard should switch to american standard. Then type \"shift\" and \"2\" to make an @. And \"shift\" + \"alt\" to get it back to european.

Start->Find->Files or Folders->Then search planeshift.cfg in the directory you installed PlaneShift in. Write click on the file that pops up, click \"open with...\", and choose WORDPAD. On the line where it says Planeshift.Connection.User = \"youremail2yourhost.com\", replace the \'2\' with an \'@\' symbol, save it, open PS, type in your password and voila!

STRG is the name of the CTRL key on German keyboards, ALTGR is the \"right ALT key\".
To all those that need to press ALTGR+some other key to make the @ sign, use CTRL+ALT+some other key.

German keyboard e.g. CTRL+ALT+q instead of ALTGR+q

Does anyone have any more suggestions on how to type the \"@\"? I\'ve tried all of the above, nothing works.

I just had a (probably not very helpful) thought..

What if you used the on-screen keyboard to type it in? I think that just looks the same to the system as a regular keyboard..

Another idea, you could manually enter your name in one of the config files (it is either planeshift.cfg or psclient.cfg) so the @ will already be there when you start up..

They\'re just ideas, don\'t pelt me with snowballs if they don\'t work.. >.>
