Font/Texture/etc. distortion/errors look here before posting!

This might be solved in most cases by a driver update. Please attempt this before posting a thread with your problem.

Thanks.

Find out what graphics card you have and download the latest version. The most common are ATI or nVidia cards. you can find new versions of each driver on the companies websites.

Each component of a computer requires some kind of program that lets the computer know what exactly to do with it. That is what a driver is.

Second... well; what Xordan said. :)

32 MB is pretty low.. it might run but I am not quite sure. At the least, it will probably be very slow..

Actually, i\'ve found that CB can run on extremely low-power graphics cards. I was recently visiting some family and used their computer: a Pentium III 800MHz Gateway with -get this- 5.5MB display memory. It ran at about a constant 4.5 fps, even in the small less crowded areas, occassionally dipping to .2 or .3 fps. Oh yeah, don\'t forget the text/texture/player model distortions. It\'s playable if you don\'t mind ripping chunks of your hair out every three minutes.  :D

Well, Xordan... I do have the latest drivers... 66.93, I think...

Fullscreen mode makes the game go black(Dark screen and nothing else)...

Sometimes there is the effect, which looks like playing an old 2.5D game (Doom//Blood//Duke Nukem 3D) and using the no-clip mode through the walls... Happens sometimes when I start the game, in some spots... potion textures...

Got me... GeForce FX 5200 with 256 RAM...

I may* post a screen shot...

PS,

5 MB? They make em\' with five MB? 4,8,16,32,64,128, or 256, but 5?

Some cards are upgradable, I had old ATI Rage 3D/2X and you could put 1meg chips on it...:P

You can try, but you shall fail! Seek us not, we shall find you.

I checked to make sure my graphics card is updated and direct x too, both are or seems to be.
the setup and menu is still distorted... and text is completely unseen.
is there a way to fix this with a patch or is there another menu (i dont know.. \"text\" version menu\" for those who cant see the menu? im assuming the problem only appears here and not ingame as well.

i fear we cant play the game because our card is too \"cheap\"/crapy...
the only other game that had a similar problem but it was ingame, was fixed by the updated version... but then again, thats the one i have now which doesnt work.

im really hoping i didnt download 200mb for nothing.
