you could gain much more art and even code if you would make something like KDE or so does.
A well done bugtracker wich has also feature requests, and you make some JJ (Junior Jobs) that are jobs that can be done even by newbie programmers (more or less). Then you need a wiki or so for all the art you need (ive seen items that have no image or a very strange image in the inventory, like the rat eyes and the scrool you get from shaven, wich has no icon).
Im shure many would contribute if they could start with a small thing, like a single icon for a scroll or so.. think abiout it, im shure you will have MANY people contributing
