Here\'s a thought that may be useful: Everyone who spawns in the plaza spawns in the exact same place. This is hard on the computers because they are trying to render 50 people in the same place and figure out intersections, etc. Why doesn\'t the spawning occur across the plaza, in random places? That would possibly fix the flying problem too because people are not spawning on top of each other.

...maybe.

Any thoughts?

There\'s no collision detection between player models, so I doubt this would fix the flying problem. :P And I\'m no expert (not even close), but I personally wouldn\'t think that models spawning inside eachother would cause any more stress on the system than models spawning all over the place. But I may be wrong, it just seems strange. ?(

All the models in the same place is no less stress than the models all over the place. It just means the screen lag concentrated instead of spread out.

What if 3 or 4 houses around the plaza was converted into spawn houses and when you would originally be spawned into the plaza you got spawned into a house at random, that would reduce the lag for players just running through the plaza and reduce the lag on players when the spawn because the first thing they see is not a large area with loads of people moving around but rather a small area with a few people.

Yes, that is feasable. If there are a bunch of houses to spawn in and the vis table works correctly then that would reduce screen lag.

The spawn point will be gone soon anyways. I mean it really makes the game look crappy when you have a put together solution for bugs that people use for multiple purposes. I say bah with it, and can\'t wait till it\'s gone.

What he said...

\"Flying\" is caused by spawning from higher places than Hydlaa Plaza, since the \"y\" value is screwed up. Same with falling off the world and dying, you spawn under the Plaza.

We don\'t know yet, but hopefully it will consist of different plane portals you can walk through to get to where you want to go. Say you rin the death realm, it would be nice if there were several different doors that lead to diferent portals. These portals could be several important places in PS, the magic shop, the endukai city, hydlaa square and the arena. That just my opinion though, and the devs might have something different in mind.
